Also sympathies @Papergirl1968 , Daisy doesn’t make biscuits there but when she stands with all her forward weight (she’s over 5kg) landing on my nipple, excruciating is the word!

Papergirl1968 · 01/04/2023 22:42

See top left. It's hard to read but it says you might think kneading is your cat being affectionate but actually your cat is checking your external organs for weaknesses.
I get the standing on and walking over my boobs too!

Not cat related but as we are talking about boobs and nipples...I have a concrete thing on top of the walls either side of my front gate (not posh, just normal terrace with forecourt). One side isn't cemented in so when I had some stuff to give away, I put it outside but with a sign to say. I decided to put the sign under the concrete thing so it would be held in place but somehow managed to drop the concrete into my nipple. Fuck that hurt. I am too embarrassed to tell my friends as it sounds like I have super saggy boobs.

Excessive shovelling of litter … Phoebe I’m looking at you! 😆

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/04/2023 09:40

Cat update from the Grumpy household.
First the cats were having a sit-in on the kitchen table this morning (no doubt in protest about us not having a fry-up today).
Then a small bird (terrible photo) appeared again doing acrobatics to pick nesting material out of our gutters.
Cats have now become keen ornithologists (pretty sure their real desire is to be orniphages though 🤣)

Oh and at 11.45 last night received a flood alert from the Environment Agency. Who needs Government emergency tests? - the important stuff already works 👍.
(Note - flood alert is the lowest level of warning, and not something we worry about unless it gets to the next level)

RumNotRun · 02/04/2023 10:12

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats good job a certain someone wasn't around when you had your flying visitor.

The tribe haven't been sulking over no fry up, but every time I open the fridge, Frank and Toad give me "starving orphan" faces as they know there's a roast chicken in there.

Allergictoironing · 02/04/2023 10:48

I sort of wish Girlcat WAS begging for food. What she does beg for is my company in the living room, constantly. She's currently sitting behind me staring at me through the back of the PC chair making the occasional pitiful squeaking noise.

If I do go in there, she'll stand by my feet for strokes for approximately 3 minutes, then move just out of reach and stare at me for another 5-8 minutes, then go and lie down on the back of the sofa. She will be content there until I leave the room, then she'll follow me about making pathetic noises again until I return. ALL DAY LONG.

Tobias on the other hand will stay igloo-bound until all the lights go out, then rampage round upstairs yelling. He did venture back into the living room briefly yesterday afternoon during her pm nap, but I walked in there so he zoomed out & back to safety.

Go Tobias! That's very brave - if noisy.

Waiting eagerly and expectantly for the packet of Dreamies to appear from the drawer, Linney maximises his approach as he sits on the edge of the table, observing me................................

@TheShellBeach Linney is just practising in case he is asked to model in an advert for Dreamies.

He'd certainly pass the audition. He would eat them all day if we let him.

A beautiful and memorable night.

Well bloody done darling.

Me and NDN watching Grace with two cats in her flat. Prince knocked!

Rebel2 · 03/04/2023 00:16

Apparently he's a big fan of the bed as he's now snoring in it
Ollie perched on the sofa as he's refusing his teepee because I washed it Confused

Maple2023 · 04/04/2023 00:38

NC. Paws is back. He trotted in, neatly arranged himself in the cat bed with his tail over his eyes and fell asleep. Guess he's staying then

Maple2023 · 05/04/2023 11:42

Paws is still asleep. He's been here since 10pm Confused

NewBootsAndRanty · 05/04/2023 11:46

Squidge has just been flead wormed and weighed, and is only 100g over now - vet reckons she's ok as she is.
Stupid taxi home, the driver has been shouting at me for not booking an uber pet - despite it not being an option anywhere on the app and having sent him a message saying I had a cat with me.

LostCats · 05/04/2023 12:05

@NewBootsAndRanty you can report the issue on the Uber app and ask for a refund and give the reason why. I did that once with a very rude driver and I got the money back

NewBootsAndRanty · 05/04/2023 12:06

Thanks @LostCats - will get onto it !

Does Paws actually have a home? Other than yours of course. He's so cheeky 🙂

What the hell difference does it make to the driver if you've got a cat with you?
