Your garden is incredible, Supersimkin2 and Prince is looking suitably regal. Very impressed that Shady and Paws and Tobias and Girlcat are getting on so well. Sympathies to Mrs Grumpy for finding mousey. I was cat sitting for my friends last week. I opened the front door to let the cat in, only to see he was eating a mouse. He waited until he had finished before coming in. I thought this was the ultimate in feline politesse. He usually likes to show off his hunting prowess by marching in with his victims still wriggling in his mouth. Yuk!

Toby Toad has now taken over Vixen's bathroom attendant duties. He's a better attendant imo cause he doesn't insist on sitting on me or grooming me whilst I am..ahem..enthroned.

I'm afraid Lenny celebrated last night/this morning with some Bacchanalian behaviour that ended up in a cat fight (screaming at 6.00 this morning), and resulted in a vet visit. Serious limp (puncture wounds in his front right paw) and his back, plus feeling very sorry for himself.

Lenny nil, Vet £140... (metacam, antibiotics - I could have written the prescription before he got to the vet)
But I can confirm that it wasn't TC - he was inside his own house last night.

Lenny is much improved today and is now putting weight on his paw. The drugs have obviously kicked in.
I felt that Basil's tail was looking particularly resplendent this morning when he joined us for breakfast, so thought I'd share 😁.

That is an exceptionally glorious tail!

Poor Lenny but I'm glad he is feeling better.

What news of Shadow today?

We currently have three 7 week old foster kittens, two boys and a girl. They are absolute sweethearts and perfectly behaved. They are little tuxedo kittens with white bibs, when they are lined up in their bed they look like little magpies. Here is the smallest one tucked up on DD's bed.

I still have old wounds which are still healing from trying to get various cats into carriers over the years.

Okay, that's an exaggeration. But it's always a fucking military operation when they need to get into their carriers. We manage to corral one, then the other one hides somewhere completely inaccessible.

Grumpy, how's Lenny getting on, talking of wounds?

I carried it in, put it down and he was "oh INTERESTING SMELLS" and just walked into it

Can I just say how much I enjoy this group.
I’ve got numerous significant illnesses and spend a ridiculous amount of time in hospital and this group has kept me company on so many visits. Nothing like happy cat chat to reduce one’s mental burden 😊

Suspect it was the dodgy grey and white cat that caused Poodlegate!
