Is he not on the edge of the balcony of the flat above NDN? If so, can you knock on their door to rescue him...

They’re out.

Supersimkin2 · 28/04/2023 21:32

If he can jump, which I know is possible, shall I stop panicking?

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 28/04/2023 22:17

I think it’s mandatory to panic. Is this a nice neighbour?

Supersimkin2 · 28/04/2023 23:12

Neighbour downstairs now in and has offered broom. Prince refused.

Havelock came flying in through kitchen window, fell into the sink and fell out of it to drag me out to call again.

Havelock refused Dreamies in his haste.

Prince still up there. I can’t call the RSPCA for another 18 hours. Fire Brigade won’t come out without RSPCA.

Supersimkin2 · 28/04/2023 23:22

Am outside. Screamy yowling is loud (Prince) and nonstop. He’s not blocked as far as I can see and he can move fine. He’s not stuck

At most a 6 foot jump FFS. The howling is long and incessant. I’m going in soon, exhausted and it might shut him
up.

Lightly warmed Sheba on the fence.

RumNotRun · 28/04/2023 23:27

I have no helpful advice, but I hope Prince hurries up and gets down. Silly drama queen!

Supersimkin2 · 28/04/2023 23:28

It’s a rehoming job if he does it again. Two
emergencies in under a year bodes not well.

I have now grumbled at him.

On the upside… The neighbours who wouldn’t let me in to catch him are in bed. Prince has moved to outside their bedroom window and tipped his head back to launch a new session of screaming.

Could you make a video of him, put it on YouTube and make your fortune?

Supersimkin2 · 28/04/2023 23:36

Oh SHIT.

Massive fox in garden.

Supersimkin2 · 28/04/2023 23:51

His mother was killed by a fox, which is why he was rescued so young.

Did you have wine with dinner @LindyHopathon?

Any update Lana?

Rescued 5 min ago by breaking into
empty flat. Dreamies issued x100.

We’re both knackered and going to bed. Thanks all.

Papergirl1968 · 29/04/2023 13:33

Phew, that's a relief.
That's another of his nine lives gone.
These cats do love to worry us!

nettie434 · 29/04/2023 18:09

Relieved to read that Prince is now safe, Supersimkin2. Hope there are no more Bank Holiday dramas.

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 29/04/2023 18:37

You’re going to have to move to a bungalow in a rural area @Supersimkin2. Feck all goes on round here.

Mostly because Asbo isn’t here anymore. It was carnage then.

We live in a bungalow in a rural area and I can confirm that the only things that happen round here are daily cat meetings.
They congregate in our front garden. Every morning and evening.
Ours and everyone else's.

coastergirl · 30/04/2023 00:34

Walter is being a Grade A arse. I'm watching the very dramatic snooker semi-final. Instead of joining me, Walter is: yelling to go out of the front door; scratching to come in the back door; eating a bite of food; yelling to go out of the front door...

And repeat. Again. Again. Again.

Argh

Not a happy Allergic today. My user name may mention ironing, but another of my allergies (well more an intolerance) is artificial sweeteners.

Opened a nice new bottle of Pepsi last night. Thought it tasted a bit odd but shrugged it off, until I was woken up by dashing to the loo. Bastards have added sweeteners without telling anyone! I now have 5.5 bottles of foul muck that makes me ill in the cupboard, nobody else in my family drinks cola.

I will have to resort to Coke now, just about the only fizzy drink remaining that doesn't include poison 🤐😱

I hear you Allergic. I have 2 2l bottles of new stuff untouched and have denuded my local B&M of their old stock of cans.

The only fortunate thing is that it's not aspartame they've added so I won't react (other than with a WTF face and gagging)

I am SO pissed off. I mean why???? We KNOW "sUgAr bAd", if we cared we'd drink the already existing sugar-free shit!

I could go on. I won't. There are not enough hours in the day.

But yes, back to Coke.

Allergictoironing · 30/04/2023 09:59

Both affect me, as does Xyletol. With Stevia I just can't stand the taste (tried it in tea, threw the mug away).

Light bulb also blew in Tobias's bedroom last night. I've pulled something in my left (primary) shoulder (the one I had repaired a couple of weeks ago) but being stupid I tried to change the bulb anyway. Cue a) terrified cat running away in panic from me standing on the bed and b) much worse shoulder/deltoid, possibly now a tear rather than a strain. DSis is dropping by later to change the bulb for me!

So - I'm waiting for the third thing to happen now.....

The words snooker and dramatic do not belong in the same sentence, @coastergirl 😂
I said to a friend yesterday that snooker, golf and cricket are the most boring, pointless sports ever.
Sympathies, Allergic. Look after yourself and that shoulder.

It used to be fun watching it on a black and white TV though 😁.

Allergictoironing · 30/04/2023 13:51

I was brought up on watching cricket, and still love it now. Though it's not the fastest paced game, there's an awful lot of complexities if you know the game well - setting the field just right, bowling to it, different styles of bowling, countering strengths & weaknesses of the batsmen... Probably the most tactical team sport there is.
