Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.

I can see another ambulance being needed if you had the audacity, bravery or foolhardyness (select as appropriate) if you tried to wrap TC up in brown paper all ready for the Christmas Post.🤕😯

At last - someone else has recognised what a nightmare TC really is. (It's only taken four and a half years and 4800 odd posts 🤣🤣🤣)

@twobluechickens Those Molly's mice may be deflated but they still attract attention. Our house is full of dead Molly's mice, this was my attempt to tidy some of them.

TC is a master of camouflage! With paving stones specifically.... it's a niche talent

I can just see the Postman now, full-face ice hockey mask, leather hawk training gauntlets, and full body chainmail. On my doorstep all bismotered like Chaucer's knight as he hands me TC lightly tangled in the last of the string and brown paper, purring into my welcoming arms.

I'm about 3500 posts in, and apparently a bit deranged 😜

It's helping though.

A quick search suggests this is only the second time the word 'bismotered' has appeared on MN, and never before in such an apt way.
You may be unwashed, dazed and deranged but you are also clearly exceedingly facund. 🤣

It's been done before (I got him.in antlers once 🤣).
Since TCsDad has posted and revealed his current location, I'll put this photo in from yesterday. Mrs G and I have been walking the dogs.

TC's Dad need tot worry about being burgled while he's away, not with a guard cat like TC on patrol!.

My aunt used to have a shop years ago, along with a gorgeous Red Setter and a monster of a black cat. We would say that if any burglars broke in they may get their legs bruised by the dog's tail wagging so hard at having visitors, but the cat would put them in hospital in the blink of an eye.

Then again, TC is a cute softy compared to Charlie. If Charlie ever decided that your lap was the resting place de jour, you really WERE incapussitated because if you dared move you would get your legs shredded. He fought every cat in the neighbourhood, usually only the once as they all kept a very safe distance after the first time, but didn't have a mark on him from the fights.

TC is on our front doorstep as usual this morning. His demonic credentials are clear for all to see this morning
