Thug cat part 5 - For he will not do destruction, if he is well-fed, neither will he spit without provocation.

Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.
For any one daft enough, here are the last 4000 posts about him
thread1
thread2
thread3
thread4
For anyone far too sensible to trawl through the above threads, here are a few of his photographic highlights. And yes, the last one is him on my kitchen table...

Picture of malevolence more like.

Gping on holiday today. NDN is minding the cats (cheers 👍).
TC is on our doorstep already planning for us being away.

Plotting his shenanigans as we speak🤔

KeziaOAP · 08/09/2023 09:04

Do I detect a tear in his eye 🤔

LostCats · 08/09/2023 09:27

He’s definitely got big plans doesn’t he!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/09/2023 12:54

Left now, but earlier TC appeared to be confirming we really were going 😁.
At least Basil seems to be guarding the house entrance in our absence.

TC wants to know why you are driving off in HIS yellow car.

Hope you and Mrs G have a great holiday Grumpy.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/09/2023 13:57

TC is looking very thin!

Supersimkin2 · 08/09/2023 20:23

Have a fantastic holiday Grumpy! So pleased you’re both taking a break and will return refreshed for the new year of animal
husbandry (advanced).

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/09/2023 20:52

Spotted this large planter in front of a house in Kirkby Lonsdale this afternoon.
I did check that the inhabitant was breathing 😁. He'd clearly found the only cool spot in the whole town.

A Busman’s Holiday then @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats 😂

Supersimkin2 · 09/09/2023 09:27

Horizontal with coolness 😎

While we are on our holidays our cat sitting service is being provided partly by TC's dad, and partly by a friend staying over this week. I received the following message from my house and cat sitting friend today which I thought I should share 🤣🤣🤣.
TC staged a terrorist raid. He sneaked in through the patio doors whilst I was out of the room - then ate ALL the food that was out - and hissed and growled when I approached - vile animal. I phoned NDN to come and collect his so-called pet. TC finally decided to leave just as NDN was walking up the drive. I advised him to have TC put down!!

TC was waiting for the moment! 'So called pet' 😀🙂

LostCats · 16/09/2023 08:30

No!! He is but a hungry morsel of a kitten. Just trying to get by in this harsh and unforgiving world. Have pity

MsSupineLickspittle · 16/09/2023 10:51

The poor lad is clearly underweight and starving, abused and unloved by all around him - who can blame him for taking opportunities when they arise.

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 16/09/2023 11:01

Bloody hell that's a bit harsh. It could've been prevented if he hadn't left the patio doors open.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/09/2023 14:08

Yeah. I was kinda hoping it was a weird sense of humour.

Tbf didn't Grumpy himself start the first thread on TC asking for advice over which large water cannon might be best to repel him from the house?

LostCats · 16/09/2023 14:36

Before he was sucked in by the wonder of a small, spotty tummy and a dangerous glint in the eyes 🐈

In April 2019 my very first post about TC I commented thus...
[TC] has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us
Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
So in in four and a half years he's not changed in the slightest, his MO is EXACTLY the same, yet apparently it's my fault (or in this instance my cat sitters fauilt) for having the patio doors open?
Victim blaming or what 🙀.

I thought my cat sitter's tirade was hilarious btw. I should point out that TC can actually be bloody scary to the uninitiated if you try to get him to do something he doesn't want to do...

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 16/09/2023 18:14

If you stop trying to get him to things he doesn’t want to he won’t need to lash out Sad

Like when I tried to save a mouse from kitten Asbo and I have a scar now. It’s my own fault.

Ellmau · 16/09/2023 18:24

I think your mistake was trying to discourage him "gently".

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 16/09/2023 18:35

Another message just received from cat sitting friend 🤣
Evil TC got in again - patio doors closed and lounge windows only open a couple of inches. He must have got in through the top kitchen window which was fully open. I managed to get him out of the house on my own, despite his satanic hissing and paw lunges. I'm a brave boy now! 😊
The little furry fucker is really taking the piss while we're away.
