Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.
For any one daft enough, here are the last 4000 posts about him

TC has the fluffiest tummy. Repeats to self: I must try to resist TC's irresistible pose and remember the times he bites Grumpy and hisses at him and Mrs G!

What was in picture 4? He's definitely noticed you're touching the danger zone in photo 3, and looks set on revenge.

Both Girlcat, and Boycat when he was still with us, wrap(ped) all 4 legs round my arm when I do/did belly rubs - this was to hold my hand in place so I wouldn't stop doing it.

Note the position of the cute little tabby's back paws in pic 3. They are very gently clasping daddy's arm with no sign of claws. This is clearly a affectionate, gentle cat who would only do harm when threatened 😉

I'm sure that when he accidentally catches Grumpy with his teeth or claws, he's only playing & gets a little "overexcited"😆

TC is obviously trying harder (or mellowing 🙀?).
Despite holding my hand down, claws out, and biting me, he then licked me in an almost friendly manner.

Despite having had loads of bites and scratches that have drawn blood over the years - nothing nasty has happened yet so I've never needed antibiotics from a cat bite or scratch to date.

Dh was warned it would end in tears and I did disentangle them eventually because I’m nice like that.

I wouldn’t feel right without my scars from Mr C and Cap’n. I feel jagged skin rips are classier than a tattoo saying MUMSY & BUBBA 4EVA but with the same proud memorial grandeur.

Absolutely right - I still treasure this from Monty (received 20 odd years ago.) I picked him up rather poorly one day and one of his back claws strafed my finger. It bled a lot 😮.

Mine are like yours Fluffy - ribbly and wonky, they show up more in the summer. Which I like.

Been put all day. Currently raining. Returned to find this on our doorstep.
