Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.

TC is just being sociable and joining his friends for dinner.

I have no idea why he can't wash himself in his own garden...

He's just showing you (or probably Sybil) how expert he is at washing and how clean he keeps himself.

That was Basil.
Sybil had also been eying him up, but decided to jump back on the kitchen table and pretend she'd seen nothing. As an amusing, (if wholly irrelevant) treat, here's a picture of her nose when asleep upside down earlier today.

Sybil is exquisite.

TC is often misunderstood.

TC is clearly crying in that photo as he is oh so hungry and just wants to be part of the Grumpy crew.

NDN just came round to ask us to feed the beast tonight and tomorrow morning. TC of course came round as well, and naturally behaved exquisitely on our front porch.
This is his 'look at me I'm cute, but don't forget to feed me or I'll turn in an instance' look.
NDN has now gone, TC hasn't...

Sybil is displaying her plumy tail in a manner bound to attract admiration.

He now back round the back of the house again.

Have you ever considered swapping houses with NDN? Then TC gets his hearts desire - the run of your clearly far superior residence (feline based judgement obvs) - and you get to leave your windows open in peace.

And on that note, what DO you do in this hot weather if every open window & door is an invitation to be invaded?
