You RESCUED TC? Are your limbs still intact?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/02/2022 15:20

Was he ever so grateful?
No, but he wasn't too bad tempered. Only bitten (very half heartedly) once. Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/02/2022 15:29

In the meantime, Basil is amusing himself, trying to catch a catnip mouse by going through the webbing from behind the chair. He could of course have just jumped on the chair to access said mouse, but he's a cat...

Wanda looks very indignant about having to wear what looks like a babygro! Grin

Supersimkin2 · 18/02/2022 16:18

Paw! Capns livid cos the garden furniture’s flying about entertainingly and I still won’t let him out.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/02/2022 16:29

We are now (mire than) slightly alarmed because there is a 40ft Leylandii on the other side of the backwater lined up with our boat, greehouse and house.
Just been informed that as it sways in the wind the road it's next to is lifting between 6 and 12 inches.
If I never post again it's because I'm squashed undet a very large (but rather dull) tree.

We think she looks like Piglet in it... needs must as she had both types of ecollar off in under 2 mins...

Keep posting Grumpy. Very naughty of TC to dig up that tree.

coastergirl · 18/02/2022 18:08

Stay safe Grumpy and Co!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/02/2022 18:19

Boat moved to safety (NDN's mooring).
Been to look at the tree of doom and there is a very impressive crack in the ground about 8-10 foot long and a few inches wide that gets much wider every time the wind catches the tree Shock.
Assuming (hoping) it doesn't fall down by itself, the tree will be removed before the end of next week.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/02/2022 18:39

So just the house to worry about then? 🤨

Turns out dhs new number transferred so when I was texting amusing cat memes it wasn’t to him. At least it wasn’t anything embarrassing.

pawpaws2022 · 18/02/2022 18:45

I have takeaway after a rough day. Had a massive hive flare up so been in and out the doctors

I hope you are all ok Grumpy (and all the other litter tray-ers)

Pawpaws that looks lush. I'm eating up the frozen Christmas party food so filo wrapped prawns tonight. Was ok but yours looks better - and what's in the tub?

pawpaws2022 · 18/02/2022 19:04

It's called scran sauce. Like a pickle burger sauce and really addictive!

TalkedTooMuchStayedTooLong · 18/02/2022 19:06

@pawpaws2022 yum!

@Defiantly41 glad I'm not the only one still serving Christmas food.

"What's for tea."

"I don't know, but it'll be mini and come in twelves"

pawpaws2022 · 18/02/2022 19:16

I went to school once and said we had scraps for Christmas dinner when asked by the teacher
Mum (when she got a call) "SCRAPS?! It was a bloody M&S buffet!!"

I couldn't remember the word buffet so now it's always known as scraps Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/02/2022 19:41

“This isn’t just a buffet, it’s an embarrassing story your child told their teacher”

I did also say dad had spent the whole day in the pub but luckily my teacher knew that was working and not knocking back shots
JoanOgden · 18/02/2022 21:06

Really, @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats, I was already incredibly envious of your gorgeous cats and musical sons, but the discovery you also have your own boat has tipped me into a state of insane jealousy Grin

Supersimkin2 · 18/02/2022 21:53

I’ve got those chicken doughnuts that were in the M&S Xmas ad in the freezer. Hoping someone gets jealous of me. Hoping more the weather remains too evil tomorrow to go out and thus they must be eaten.

‘Not just parents, these are M&S parents’ Queen.

coastergirl · 18/02/2022 22:34

Chicken doughnuts?!

Supersimkin2 · 18/02/2022 22:55

Oh yes. I’ll report back.

Ilovetommycat · 19/02/2022 06:26

Sorry to lower the tone but Iceland also sell chicken doughnuts Grin

Allergictoironing · 19/02/2022 10:13

Boycat is strongly hinting that I'm not catering to his needs as a macho prime predator.

Last couple of days, he's dug up an old knackered mouse toy - by knackered I mean there's just the fur covering left & the former contents have been removed. He's been throwing it around, killing it then parading round with it dangling from his mouth in exactly the way he did with real mice when I had an invasion in the conservatory & let the cats loose in there.

Clearly I need to invite some mice to move in, so he can hunt, play with & kill them!
