DD's DCat2 is fat, he used to be an indoor cat before DD got him. They've been trying to stop him eating so much, it hasn't really worked, so now he's on diet food, bless him.

DD's DCat1 used to be a street cat, which is probably whiy she is a hunter, and not overweight.

My friends' vet said their cat was a 'good lockdown weight' Actually he is fine now. He always loses weight when he is out on patrol but tends to put on a bit during the winter. Like Ivy and Betsy, he thinks it is just a winter coat. However, he is a domestic short hair moggy rather than Norwegian forest cat so there's only so far he can use that as an excuse.

Ollie says he is starving and wants MORE food. He's eaten 4 pouches today (maybe 3, paws ate some) and 2 chunks of chicken and he's still 3.4kg
Paws feels like lifting a brick compared to him

Yes, she is... 60% cuddly sook, 40% manic monkey... she has chummed up with Kipling (Ragdoll) and they often rampage about the house together playing... Sparky (black moggie) mostly ignores her, but Sparky ignores everybody except my youngest DD...

It's finally time to join in with this thread. I'm friends with @MaybeHeIsMyCat away from here so feel like Martha is a lifelong friend of Ollie and Paws. Martha is our 12 yr old rescue cat.

Ok everybody stay really still and quiet... no sudden movements... Betsy has come to sit with me!!

I mean she has got her back to me and she is only sitting here cos she loves my new teddy blanket but I'm not complaining!

Just back from vet with Wanda ( microchip as she was too tiny at her first vet check). Quote from vet who also gave her a health check: "She's doing great and is full of beans isn't she? It was difficult to listen to her chest because she wouldn't stop purring and climbing up me for cuddles and cheek rubs"! I've never had a cat who likes going to the vets before... she was also purring her head off in the car...

Ivy does that to the vet too, always gets up to do cheek rubs when they are doing her health check 🥰

@SpookyScarySkeletons it's a nice change from one of my previous cats... the (same) vet would often nervously say "he's very strong isn't he?" as she attempted to pin him down to examine and she rarely escaped without a scratch or a bite... same cat was a complete softy at home, mind...

Poor starved Ollie!

On a serious note though has he had his thyroid checked? The older boys do tend to get a bit skinny and constantly starving hungry with thyroid issues x

He's always been the same since I've had him

Just had the police over (problems with kids again) and Ollie was gaga over the female armed response officer
He was sat at her feet blinking adoringly

@TalkedTooMuchStayedTooLong our cat hates going to the vet but seems to like it when in the room. One year when I took her for her annual boosters she jumped in the fridge, when the vet opened it to get the injection, and wouldn't come out.

I'm completely incapussitated at present. Sybil was on my lap and Mrs Grumpy had Lenny on hers. Basil spent ten minutes going between us (looking grumpier by the minute) before he decided he could squeeze in next to (on top of) Sybil.

Oh Grumpy, perfect January Sat. They see you as a heated throw, no greater compliment etc..

I forked out £45 on republic of cats personalised snacks for Capn. He won’t touch them.
