@Supersimkin2

Capn and I perform our toilette together prior to breakfast. We keep our gaze pointed at the ceiling as a courtesy.

I wait till he’s shaken his tail to flush in case he gets a jump.

Haha Betsy does this too! Glad she isn't the only toilet weirdo 😂

We have an extra tray in the downstairs loo and she always follows me and goes for a wee whilst staring up at me. If she doesn't need a wee she crouches and pretends to wee. The little oddball!

SpookyScarySkeletons · 09/01/2022 18:25

If anyone has a grumpy cat who refuses to sit with them.... you need a teddy blanket from Dunelm. Betsy has sat with me more times in the last 24 hours than she has in 18 months!

That looks LUSH Spooky.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 09/01/2022 18:30

The worst ours do is jump on your lap while you are sitting on the loo. Basil particularly seems to find this very amusing...

SpookyScarySkeletons · 09/01/2022 18:33

They are gorgeous! Had one bought as a Christmas gift and it's the softest cosiest thing ever. They are only about £11 each so I'm going to get a couple more for the kids.

The cats LOVE them!

TheLongRider · 09/01/2022 18:43

Hobbes also decided to climb the denuded Christmas tree. Please excuse the blurry action shot but here he at the start and end of the tree's existence.Hmm

@SpookyScarySkeletons or a heated fleece throw.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 09/01/2022 19:00

I think one of the best parts of cat ownership is finding them in new and unexpected places.

Before this evening we have never seen Sybil sitting on this surface. Does she want a coffee?

Ollie won't enter the bathrooms
"Hooman stuff. Also, wet. No"
He just sits at the door wailing at me Hmm

I want a coffee Grumpy. Bar Italia eat your heart out.

I wrote a long reply earlier, was about to post and my phone promptly died. I don't want to derail the thread again, so I will just say thank you for all your thoughts and comments re the diagnosis. I'm very lucky in that I have a masters degree in autism and have worked at a specialist school for children with autism for 13 years, so I have access to some incredible people for advice.

Anyway back to cats. Walter also likes to use his tray while I'm on the loo. He also sits on the toilet lid, which my boys find hilarious.

Do any of you follow the page "Temperamental Chucklefucks and friends" on fb? Sorry about the language. I'd heartily recommend it for feline related giggles. Read back through the current Vitamix saga. It really makes me laugh.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 09/01/2022 22:58

Betsy has been laid next to me all night again!! I really can't understand what's come over. DH still saying it's the new blanket rather than her realising I'm a lovely cat mum and not the wicked witch.....

Ah @SpookyScarySkeletons enjoy it! I find that once they start to enjoy cuddles, it carries on.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/01/2022 06:51

Men are very good at sticking a pin in your balloon over things like this aren’t they?

SpookyScarySkeletons · 10/01/2022 08:03

@Fluffycloudland77 he's terrible for it! When I go to bed before him he delights in telling me Betsy was climbing all over him and purring. He knows I get jealous because I've only ever heard her purr twice and that was when she was a baby!

Obviously lighthearted jesting but annoying!

Does he have video proof of that? It could be Ivy anyway as their identical Wink

swampytiggaa · 10/01/2022 08:27

Saw this and made me think of all the mollys mice fans we have on here…

Shock Grin
TroysMammy · 10/01/2022 08:48

Haribo seems to think he's not sitting on the table when I tell him to get off because he's not actually sitting on the table but sitting on a magazine, which is on the table.

She just purred for me!!! I have video proof of this. Such a shame we can't share videos on MN!
Supersimkin2 · 10/01/2022 09:38

She purred! Stick that in yer pipe and smoke it, doubting DH.

I stretched in bed and Capn whizzed across the room. Not a great atmosphere this morning.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/01/2022 10:00

I should probably confess that both Mrs Grumpy and I are rather childish when it comes to cat favours.
'Ha-ha. Sybil loves me best' is regularly heard in either soprano or tenor tones, defined by on whom she is sitting. (and yes Sybil's choice of lap definitely relates to the throw/blanket Grin)

I used to covet TC. Now I covet Grumpy's coffee machine.
