Apparently the cat killer isn't real? How is this?

I thought that there was something secret about the killings that was common to all (so they could be ID) and being kept back form the public (to prevent copy cats).

They can look on the Police database and see if its a match for existing people who have had their DNA taken.
That's how a rapist was caught for committing a crime round here. He got found out years later when he was arrested for something else and they took a swab of DNA.

You'd only have to wear padded gauntlets and there's no dna to collect.

If its a fox that done it then jack the ripper was a fox.
