Wearing a new top today that says "I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example"
THREE times I've been stopped in Morrisons to ask where it's from Grin

Reduced prawns are always a bad idea. Always.

I would also like to know about the top.

Here. The next on my purchase list is "the more people I meet, the more I like my cat"

If you click on this thread you can vote for TCN at Celia Hammond.

'Vote for a UK animal welfare charity - they could win a £100,000 donation from Animal Friends' - I don't know how to link to it but it's on Sponsored threads on the talk homepage.

My dad claims he chatted up Celia Hammond in 1965. If that doesn't mean she deserves floods of cash from strangers, I don't know what does.

O has woken me up by rubbing his mouth and nose all over my face. Thanks for that Hmm
Vet did comment "he hasn't got many teeth has he? How does he eat, ok?"
Me "Zooplus get 25% of my wage, I would say he eats fine" Grin

Face rub is true declaration of love. Massive honour.

Mr C got his appetite back at 3am. I left him some Dreamies to steal in advance, but he decided that yowling and trampolining on my back was more appropriate.

.... I left him some Dreamies to steal in advance,... GrinGrin

Ollivander84 · 07/10/2018 12:26

Not so much of an honour when it's past 1am. Woke me up again with steroid hanger. Forgot I now have this to deal with Grin

He's got Roid Rage!! Oh dear. Don't let him near a Vin Diesel film. Grin

Just been recruited by the most tired looking human I have ever seen at the new charity shop in town. Well, I offered after vigorous hinting. The shop boasts 'the oldest staircase in London' - a three-floor spiral of very shiny, very twisty Tudor steps. I think they should set up a charity for those compelled to use it regularly, life expectancy would plummet daily. Starting tomorrow Grin

Good luck at the shop, Lana.
Take care on those stairs!

Ollivander84 · 08/10/2018 20:35

Just found Ollie sat silently outside, waiting for me to open the door. He never shouts Confused just sits there waiting making my heart melt

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 08/10/2018 21:40

That's because you open the door within a timeframe he considers.......acceptable. He'd yell soon enough if you didn't. Grin

Ollivander84 · 08/10/2018 22:13

He counts a long time as acceptable Grin an hour today

Just recovered a cat from the side of the road Sad no tag on the collar, took to the out of hours vets and no chip either. Looked very well cared for too Sad

Give your kitties an extra big hug tonight

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 09/10/2018 00:10

Oh Ollivander. So very sad but thank you and well done for doing that. I honestly don’t know if I could.
I’m going to hug and kiss Matt right now (even though he’ll be “gerroff me, momma, it’s sleepy time for kitties”)
x

Ollivander84 · 09/10/2018 00:14

I didn't think I could but then I thought "well if it was Ollie..."
so like an idiot I wrapped it up in a towel and carried it to the vet like that, chatting away to it the whole time Blush because it didn't feel right to do anything else

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 09/10/2018 00:20

Aw, bless you for talking to it. It was a lovely thing to do.
Hope you get some sleep and some special Ollie cuddles.

Ollivander84 · 09/10/2018 00:24

Ollie is "get OFF me mama"

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 09/10/2018 00:29

I found a cat once. But I just couldn't pick it up. I phoned the council and reported it. But then the body disappeared and the owners left a poster asking for information. I still feel really bad that I could t touch him. He had no collar.

Ollivander84 · 09/10/2018 00:42

Isn't it strange how it's so hard to do? I don't mean that in a bad way because I was "shit I can't do this"
It was easier to treat it as though it was still alive hence the chatting. Although I did wonder if anyone saw me carrying a towel like a baby, wearing pjs and ugg boots I was likely to get some funny looks!
I just hope the owners find out

LanaorAna2 · 09/10/2018 10:31

Mr C is keen on the enforcement of the new breakfast regime. He rests on throw while I serve Dreamies and water.

At least it's catfood. I won't have a spoilt cat.
