Yes. How is the lad?

cozietoesie · 26/09/2018 19:10

Or should I say 'the old codger'? Grin

Ollivander84 · 26/09/2018 19:21

I've just persuaded Ollie that fighting a giant tomcat would not be his best idea. He's sulking now

The Old Codger is still evading hospital, reclining on sofa. Op delayed. He's pleased, celebrating with a bit of reduced M&S haddock.

His thyroid is now borderline low. It needs to be stable. In rare cases, the vet tells me, they grow thyroid tissue around the body which then malfunctions. The vet can't feel the thyroid itself, suggesting Mr C is that rare case. Of course :)

He's on a week of megapills and then more vet. I'm getting faintly worried about the massive med doses, at one point I had to wake him up yesterday to offer food as he hadn't eaten all day. Unheard of.

Purring, however, licking haddock flakes off whiskers. :)

Ollivander84 · 26/09/2018 22:51

Ollie sends his love and mentions he had tuna today and why doesn't his human feed him m&s food Grin

cozietoesie · 26/09/2018 23:25

.... as he hadn't eaten all day.... Blimey. Grin

LanaorAna2 · 26/09/2018 23:54

Mr C brandishing vast paw at his young friend. Ollie should know that Mr C is on a catfood diet after the, er, discussion I had with the vet last week. AGAIL Doubly Delicious has been accepted.

Mostly catfood. Grin

Don't let Doubly Delicious in the house if you can help it, by the way - it wins the prize for Most Grim Catfood To Cope With, which takes some doing. Curdled yellow sauce chunks, abomination.

Ollivander84 · 26/09/2018 23:56

I tried the AGAIL double. Wouldn't touch it Confused on the list of "disgusting food mama tried to poison me with"

I'm buggered if I'm spending a quid a pouch on Country Hunter, I had to bin most of it uneaten. Ollie clearly has a more developed palate than Mr C. Does PB Like it?

Ollivander84 · 27/09/2018 00:24

He will eat - applaws, country hunter, natures menu, cosma kitten, kitten pate from zooplus

Occasionally Lily's kitchen, thrive, meowing heads

That's it Hmm

Allergictoironing · 27/09/2018 09:16

Mine did quite like the AGAIL Doubly Delicious fish I got once by mistake instead of their usual standard AGAIL fish for breakfast.

Cats are very confused today as usual routine means me spending plenty of time in the study on the PC. Sadly PC had to go to the computer vet yesterday afternoon so I'm using the laptop in the living room on the sofa. Not worth reorganising the study as I'm not allowed to work on the laptop (not got the required security for work, PC doesn't need it).

LanaorAna2 · 27/09/2018 16:15

They'll wait until you've staggered in with cushions, moved the furniture etc and then get nice and comfy on the keyboard.

This made me wail with laffs, especially the bits down the page (no apol for DM Link, reading something is not endorsing it)

Touching Tale

Ollivander84 · 27/09/2018 16:38

O carefully watched me clean out his litter tray. Before getting in it and doing a wee that a shire horse would be proud of Hmm

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 27/09/2018 16:44

Well of course. Grin

cozietoesie · 27/09/2018 18:13

PB 'miaowed' at DBro today. Smile

LanaorAna2 · 27/09/2018 18:37

Keith Richards says he waits for his unfortunate housekeeper to finish polishing the kitchen before he rushes in and does a fryup for all the family. Same difference, rock star and cat behaviour, eh.

Yay! Dbro is in favour. I hope he appreciates the rare honour. Any sign of PB on bed in the night yet, not that that would be terribly comfortable at this point...

cozietoesie · 27/09/2018 18:55

Well it was a 'sort of miaow' according to DBro - but definitely not a hiss. Smile

LanaorAna2 · 27/09/2018 20:03

That is A Step Forward. I trust Dbro will keep up the feeding and lavish flattery. He ought to start bringing Dreamies in if he knows his Siamese.

LanaorAna2 · 27/09/2018 22:55

Note to self: do not dye and shape eyebrows while a) using the tv as a mirror b) watching Star Trek.

Vulcans do not lie, people.

cozietoesie · 28/09/2018 11:41

Oh My. GrinGrin

PB has curled up In his radiator bed. (Radiator off.) Talked a blue streak when he went in there but quiet now.

Ollivander84 · 28/09/2018 12:17

PB is in bed!! And chatting. Yay.

Am dithering whether to offer NMC a month in The Calendar. But which NMC? surely several dozen by now...:)

Having staggered out of bed with a feelthy cold all this week to provide relief at charity shop, am now in disgrace for giving it to the manager. Such are the rewards for good works, some v baleful looks came my way.

Ollivander84 · 28/09/2018 22:31

I believe this is known as luxuriating? Grin
