Is that the Manchurian bee tattooed on your leg?

The shoes make my everything hurt just looking at them.

Allergictoironing · 12/08/2018 09:18

Shoe envy. Not particularly those ones (my tastes used to run to black) but more heel envy. I remember the days when I could wear shoes with heels like that - I could even ride a motorbike in heels - but those days are long gone.

Nerve damage in the ball of one foot, plus the arthritis etc in the back, has put paid to anything higher than about 1 inch and then rarely as ! can't use my insole that levels the leg lengths up with most shoes Sad

LanaorAna2 · 12/08/2018 11:22

Were they TK?? I got some Stella Mc Cartney shoes there for 17 quid once. Flat! Brown! Boriiiing....

I don't know anyone who wears high heels except models like O on a shoot and my old boss who was addicted to Louboutins. Click, click, click she went, the terror of the publishing world.

They are bliss to look at and you can always wear them entertaining at home. if spraining an ankle on an outing doesn't appeal, they add instant chic to one's interior scheme for the bedroom. Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/08/2018 11:28

I just wanna see the picture of Ollie posing with them ...

Ollivander84 · 12/08/2018 11:59

They are TK Maxx and yes, Manchester bee tattoo!
This is one of my other pairs of heels, they do have a platform but still high

Mancunian @@ - love that bee! Love your photo too!

Imagining Ollie demanding those doors be open at his behest...

LanaorAna2 · 12/08/2018 12:41

Hot picture of a cool cat Grin

cozietoesie · 12/08/2018 16:53

Polish them right away.

LanaorAna2 · 12/08/2018 17:14

C are you still with us after Limehouse Golem? Wasn't too horrifying I hope. I love those ol' Victorian music halls. Limehouse is still terrifying these days, even tho' it's all just been razed and rebuilt - empty skyscrapers and admen's shagpads showhomes. Otherworldly in a creepy futuristic manner, not seedy opium dens and secondhand clothes.

cozietoesie · 12/08/2018 17:38

Good movie - and one I wished I could see on the big screen. (There are times when the 'postage stamp', as DBro describes it, just isn't adequate. Smile)

LanaorAna2 · 12/08/2018 20:42

They say the same about Annihilation, also on netflix, but sometimes a small screen stops you being scared silly :)

You can always plug a hdmi cable into the back of the telly to get netflix a bit bigger, I have several in packets from poundland from before it went bust, if you need one.

We have water!! I hastily ran a bath for when it goes again, filled buckets etc., like a Blitz Housewife.

cozietoesie · 12/08/2018 21:23

....for when it goes again....? Oh Ye of Little Faith. Grin

cozietoesie · 12/08/2018 21:40

I realised that I've already seen 'Annihilation' as soon as I saw Natalie Portman's name up there. Wink

LanaorAna2 · 12/08/2018 21:52

I watched it twice too! I loved the deer whose antlers grew cherry blossom. Second time round I finally understood the ending.

Netflix has just RECOMMENDED.... SPECIALLY FOR YOU LANA....

Peppa Pig

I have never been so insulted in my life, nearly as bad as those mature dating ads that pop up the minute you hit 29. Never listen to a word I say again, is all. Grin

cozietoesie · 12/08/2018 21:55

Netflix serves me up anything with 'total' or 'death' in the title........(Be careful what you wish for etc.......)

LanaorAna2 · 12/08/2018 22:29

Grin I'll let you know what we get when I search 'cats'.

cozietoesie · 12/08/2018 22:42

All the best. (I'll likely be offered Cats Trying to Take Over the World. ('So what's new?' you ask. Grin))

LanaorAna2 · 13/08/2018 00:14

I'm waiting to be emailed about this year's Sundance-winning oh-so earnest documentary 'A History of Pet Enslavement' featuring interviews with round-eyed women in shabby clothes and psychologists talking about Stockholm Syndrome. Highlights are the carefully curated selection of LWTs and a range of M&S organic meats as examples of the hardship the decadent slavemasters visit on their human property. And some pictures of vets on yachts. Part II is planned for 2022 and called 'Cats that Act Like Hitler'.

Two M&S burgers missing. Two. It's fine, they were for him anyway, just not both at once. Very purry now.

cozietoesie · 13/08/2018 00:29

I should imagine that he is. Grin

cozietoesie · 13/08/2018 00:30

How long did it take him to 'learn' how to open the fridge by the way? Grin

LanaorAna2 · 13/08/2018 00:48

They were cooling on the side, I'd just griddled them.

He's always been able to get into the fridge. Shoves his whole body at the smallest crack. Clings onto a shelf if you try and pull him out.

cozietoesie · 13/08/2018 00:55

I'm a little surprised that you haven't invested in a'fridge closer'. (Lots of results on Amazon.) Wink

LanaorAna2 · 13/08/2018 10:53

My arthritis is getting so annoying it would lock me out before it stopped Mr C. His arthritis has never stopped him when it comes to food, one notes.
