Sadly, he's not. Grin

Ollivander84 · 31/07/2018 22:14

This has been demolished. Highly recommend I think he said as he inhaled it

As I was typing 'PB might learn the value of a yellow sticker' Mr C stood up - literally - in support of his friend and colleague in northern climes. Pushed my hands off the keyboard.

cozietoesie · 31/07/2018 22:33

I'm not sure he needs 'support'. When I wasn't here, he apparently ate what he was given. (I think he has me taped.)

LanaorAna2 · 31/07/2018 23:29

Typical. Grin I think PB's self-esteem is in a good place.

Humans can occasionally put cats into second place in the manipulation stakes, which is really quite admirable. The most shameless was my nephew - when he was aged two to four, any trip to the park involved him sprinting off to picnickers and shouting 'I'm so hungry'. He went like the clappers.

Worse, he was oh-so adorably blond and blue-eyed, so everyone fell for it, and worst of all, the burst of exercise triggered our family's robust appetite - he could inhale a whole quiche by the time we lurched up panting. He did it for years, his only naughty thing. Cringeathon :)

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2018 10:03

Morning humans. I howled all night and kept walking across my humans face. Didn't wake her up so I kneaded her neck. She didn't seem pleased HmmAngry

You're lovely and fully rested then! Have you given Olli a thyroid test recently? Night howling and deranged hunger are symptoms of overactive thyroid.

Dear me, that face looks a little... demanding.

I bet you've got to stagger off to work while he slumbers in the sun all day.

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2018 10:34

Oh yes work for me while he rests on sheepskin Hmm
Full bloods done, he's just "needy" apparently and does this every so often

New pills for Mr C. We've got to get two in nightly.

Give me strength.

cozietoesie · 01/08/2018 21:38

Just how are you to try this? Grin

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2018 21:42

Good luck.... Grin
Ollie is shrieking. Again. It's not just at night, he basically howls ALL DAY Hmm

Is it that MN classic, a phase?

Re pills; who knows. I wanted to do one at night, one in morning, but oh no, says vet, both at once.

I am going to try to sneak another one into nighttime sweet but that won't work all the time. He is v crafty about spitting it out.

I had to get dark blue sheets so I could tell when it had been ejected - the pill is pink and Mr C knew that he could get rid of it with the tasteful paler bedlinen. Grin

Sometimes he waits till lights out and I hear it hitting the wall.

He has been really good recently, however. We've got more tests in three weeks so here's hoping.

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2018 21:59

I think so. He did have a phase of this, I'm sure cozie will remember my "why won't you just shut up" posts Grin

Went to bed an hour early to allow time for Ceremony of Double Pill.

Mr C swallowed both in a split second.

Now he's got a mood on because I am MNetting in bed, which is generally not approved behaviour. Rude.

Back to vet on 31st. I hope the pills work, I don't want him having another op at age 16. To be honest, we're bloody lucky it's only thyroid. His kidneys are in incredibly good nick, esp given the ham situation. Arthritis doesn't seem too bad at the mo.

Seniorboy had severe arthritis and we kept it under control. (Good kidneys, though, like Mr C.)

Ollivander84 · 02/08/2018 07:09

Today Ollie is whining because
He has to eat the same food as yesterday
His human won't open the front window (the back one is open and he could just walk round) Hmm
Some other reason that I haven't established yet

LanaorAna2 · 02/08/2018 08:45

C I remember well, Seniorboy is Mr C's role model in all and every way. Mr C's arthritis doesn''t seem too onerous at the mo. He leaps, still. Usually over my head onto the keyboard. The flat is, well, flat so no stairs or big jumps unless he wants to steal food from the surfaces.

I hope you haven't got it as well - I swear these things run in families. I'm getting knobbly from RA, writer's curse, fingers like gnarled historic trees. Must paint nails green for full effect :) All my friends who work on broadsheets get to age 45 and wake up with claws.

We are currently in bed purring and slacking off getting up. Mr C is accepting being stroked by a claw.

Olli will get over his phase.... it will pass (MN cliche to start the morning off for you). From memory they last less than a week (hopeful)?

Ollivander84 · 02/08/2018 11:37

I am off to the kittens shortly! And armed with a pouch each for them

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/08/2018 11:43

Only one?!!!! What else do you have?

cozietoesie · 02/08/2018 11:53
Grin
LanaorAna2 · 02/08/2018 12:00

They will be delighted to see you. And the pouches.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/08/2018 12:09

Are all pictures of Mr C blurred? Is this on purpose to obscure his identity?

Ollivander84 · 02/08/2018 12:09

The kittens don't quite have appetites like Ollie Grin

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 02/08/2018 12:14

Yet.
