Here, in no particular order, it's :

A very tall scratching pole
8 meals a day
A boiling hot, sunny conservatory
A dab of butter on the paw
A busy birdtable
NOT going to the cattery anymore
A spot of milk on the nose
A flat immobile lap
A clean latrine

Smile

Big cat:
Being away from little cat
My presence (on her terms)
Running water
likity-lix
dreamies
catnip cigars

Little cat:
little rubber balls
feathers, sticks and leaves
Being outside, then inside, then outside again
Leaping on big cat
getting to the highest places
dreams
The inside of my left elbow

MaudesMum · 28/04/2018 08:17

dreams = dreamies, obviously!

Taffeta · 28/04/2018 08:22

Licking DD(11)’s wet hair when she comes out of the shower
Bringing in live animals - mainly birds & shrews. Purrs v loudly which can only just be detected over our screams as prey flap/scarper around the house
Lying on top of the oven when it’s been on
Lying in my herb planter in the sun
Licking and then sitting on the catmint in the pot & the border. Looks hilarious sitting on the pot
Dreamies, roast gravy leftovers

flubdub · 28/04/2018 11:44

Here he is, the chap who inspired the thread, doing something else that makes him happy. Sitting in a cardboard box, any cardboard box, but especially ones with strategically located holes so that he can mount a surprise ambush on passers by. He sits in there, no doubt peeping through the hole watching for victims, and you don't even know he's in there until his paw shoots out to get you.

KittyKlaws · 29/04/2018 11:22

Oh I forgot

terrorising the mouse population
her laser pointer
any cardboard box

MiniLeopardInTheHouse · 29/04/2018 18:23

MiniLeopard is nonplussed about laser toys, so it's interesting to see them earn a couple of mentions on here.

Yes, what is it with the post-poo zooms?! So many of them seem to do it.

Today's happiness is a moth. First one in a long time, possibly because of the long winter and our chilly draughty house. Too much to resist on a white wall, giving rise to the usual airborne cat gymnastics. But it got away Shock. Must be his out of condition winter body, (I'm whispering that bit).

Today's happiness is a DC's fleecy dressing gown which, feeling chilly, I had put over my knees while I had a cuppa. Over comes the cat, and climbs on my lap. I'd expect him to settle down for a snooze, but no. He started padding on the fleecy dressing gown, and continued padding in great concentration for some considerable time. A great surprise - he's never done this before, in the 3 or so years we've had him. Suddenly this great hulking boy is a kitten again.
