The litter tray

What makes your cat happy?

Here, in no particular order, it's :

A very tall scratching pole
8 meals a day
A boiling hot, sunny conservatory
A dab of butter on the paw
A busy birdtable
NOT going to the cattery anymore
A spot of milk on the nose
A flat immobile lap
A clean latrine

Smile

I have 3 and they like different things:

They all love the woodburner and jostle for who gets closest.
They also all love clean sheets on the bed.

2 like sleeping next to me all night, the closer the better and they have to touch a bit of my skin
The other 1 likes to sleep next to a radiator but not in the same room as people

All 3 are obsessed with Dreamies and Ham
2 of them love roast chicken and take up residence by the oven whenever one is cooking.

They all like to have the french doors open but to mainly stay inside and look out.

One of them loves sleeping in the sun with the chickens and makes a right fuss until they are let out in the morning as she likes to be with them.

They have about a million cat toys but all like the same one and want to play at the same time.

The youngest one is happiest when playing with a plastic drinking straw that he has stolen from my drink (I'll have to buy loads before they are banned). He carries it around and then plays with it all over the house. Cleaner must think we are odd as there are straws all over the house.

I love my fur people.

Dragging furry things around the house (slippers, faux-fur laptop cover, gloves), his scratching pole, his igloo bed, DH's lap (not mine). And food of course.

That’s made me really happy to think of your cat wanting to hang with the chickens unsure

I love my cat and I love my DCs, but sometimes I dream of the time when it was just me and the then cats, before my DCs came along. Wouldn't be without my DCs, but just saying Blush

Not much of a reaction to drugs/catnip here, Wolfie, but a friend's cat was made very happy by a herbal teabag - it was free with Gardener's World magazine or something.

I think something addictive has been added to Dreamies - the coke of cats.

Only one of mine likes catnip. The other drinks tap water out of a cat bowl. I don't think she's really a cat. Grin

A drinker of tap water from a cat bowl here too Wolfie, but he uses his paw as a cup. There's posh.

Oh I forgot the most important thing!!

Drinking from taps, asking for the taps to be turned on and staring at taps.

Nope. Just sticks her head right in. Weird puss.

Thinking of unsure's cat with the chickens, a friend's cats happily hung out with the hamster and guinea pig. The fish in the tank were fair game, (or would have been given the chance), and all things wild outside like birds, mice, shrews and frogs were keenly hunted, but the hamster and guinea pig were family. Obviously.

Cat #1 likes water (we have a special bathroom set up for this), pushing glass objects off the table and anything else off shelves, sleeping atop clean clothes, playing volleyball with foam balls, rolling on the floor and having me all to herself.
Cat #2 likes eye contact, endless belly rubs, chatting, my face (which she gently strokes), feather teasers and insects.
Cat #3 loves stealing pen caps and cotton buds, human food, high places to observe and the other two. She's very easy going.

I have an 8 month old kitten, and when he's happy, the base of his tail goes super floofy, it's incredibly cute. He has a rather skinny tail otherwise.

We have a loud one too, Bo. Company makes him happy. If he is alone and isn't asleep, then he's singing that song.

It sounds like you've got a Dick PURRpin, fairy

Oh, nothing special - just a plastic shallow dish with a few plastic items in it so she can splash. Only allowed in under supervision though because of the shelf thing. Tap turned to drip is a special treat.

Nowwhy - I have never known a cat drink tea. Dogs certainly, but never a cat. Amazing.

But this is just so 'cat':
she can hear the ironing board being set up from the bottom of the garden and will run in frantically looking for said jug
