Ghetto is a somali, which very few people seem to have heard of. They’re essentially semi-long haired abyssinians. They also make the cutest kittens I’ve ever seen!

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 18:15

Have you introduced him to his brush yet? Smile

InTheGhetto · 27/04/2018 18:25

He’s had at least three goes with the brush since he got here! No coughing or puking so let’s hope it remains that way! He’s so, so, so affectionate, we knew he was fantastic but we had no idea he was so cuddly. He loves to just hang out wherever you are.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/04/2018 18:26

You've lost that chaise lounge, it's been claimed and will never be returned.

Also 4am is your new wake up time.

LanaorAna2 · 27/04/2018 20:03

'seemed ready to settle by early morning' Grin

The catio is rather chic. Not yours either, of course.

I think PB's MO will be two steps forward one step back for a bit, not that anyone's asking me, C. It's the non-scary way of making sure-footed progress long term.

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 20:19

He's been doing a lot of talking in the last couple of days. Well - I say 'talking' but.....................Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 27/04/2018 20:31

Siamese talking? Shudder...Smile

LanaorAna2 · 27/04/2018 20:56

He's enjoying himself making certain you are fully up to date with his news and views. This is a gift to you, and he is sensible of the honour he is bestowing.

The volume might go down at some point, scant hope tho that is. Have you tried playing opera over the top - or will that just give him ideas.

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 21:12

He doesn't need ideas...........Sad

Ollivander84 · 27/04/2018 21:19

O is chatting to me very sweetly

Lordy. That's not chatting. (At least not as PB understands it - you could hear PB in a Force 12.)

LanaorAna2 · 27/04/2018 22:04

He's doing anticipatory purring ie he wants something. The chirruping is very dear.

Ollivander84 · 27/04/2018 22:05

This is his gentle chatting Grin when I've been out, it's like his welcome home noises
I suspect if O met PB he would be goggle eyed and sat on your lap hiding his eyes with his paw!

Mr C purrs like that in the mornings when sitting on my chest. He gets annoyed if he thinks I am slacking off my waitress shift. When I passed out on sofa after teeny op earlier this week, he woke me up too; sneaking up behind my head and slapping me on the cheek with a fat paw.

New development: definitely paws not claws, cheek not eye socket. It was rather nice, like being bopped with a baby pillow. Vet next week.

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 23:01

Oh you definitely can teach an old cat new tricks - so to speak. Seniorboy was a complete hellion when he lived with my mother........... Grin

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 23:27

He would, for example, bite her on any exposed skin if she wasn't paying him sufficient attention. (And she was taking Warfarin at the time!)

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 23:30

PB is hunting a moth. (And sounding off to me about it.) I better clear the surfaces near light sources. Wink

I won't ask about the fate of the moth.

Seniorboy grew to become a role model of stately decorum and grace!

Mr C's safe word is 'Seniorboy'. I use it in the night if he goes for my feet.

By way of more dignified memoriam, I am off to check his orchids in the park. I swear I bought white and cream ones, but there are an awful lot of pale shell-pink tips. We shall see. By the way, his memorial is getting quite an audience already: an Italian chef has taken over the caff nearby (only in London, the park cafe at the other end is michelin-starred) and people queue by Spirit of Seniorboy. You should come to lunch C Grin

Binge needs a brush?

Ollivander84 · 28/04/2018 16:09

I tried. She looked horrified but was intrigued by me brushing Fred. Caught a giant rat too, Fred is yet to catch anything Grin

That's probably OK for a first attempt. Keep on trying. Smile
