I think I have some similar ones ( no brown unfortunately). The tail is folded felt, like a rouleaux strap I think.
Good luck!
The feathery mice doesn't seem to confuse them, mine's obsessed with feathers, but has no problems identifying and "playing" with the real deal ...

Lanaorana2 · 03/02/2018 19:41

What are a few ounces between friends? Fatcat has rescued us all.

cozietoesie · 03/02/2018 20:47

The thread is just a heavy cotton.

This may fix

Lanaorana2 · 03/02/2018 23:03

Heeeelp I am watching the last 20 minutes of Requiem the new horror series on BBC and I am quivering. The sodding cat has vanished. Is anyone there?

cozietoesie · 03/02/2018 23:04

Yes. Smile

Oh thanks Cozie, I am frozen to the sofa. That furry traitor is on the bed, I am too frightened to go and get him. Is PB playing?

Oh, I knew she was bound to be the baddie. Hell, I think she's a witch! Or is she just middle-aged with flat long hair? No, she's a sorcerer. With no make up for added villainy. There is something in the dark room!

Lanaorana2 · 03/02/2018 23:26

The heroine has been taken over by blue dye in her veins and has been astrally projected while unconscious. I can't breathe. I am waiting in vain for this to get silly so I can laugh.

Lanaorana2 · 03/02/2018 23:40

The coppers have arrived to interrupt the creepy sceance, another mystery door has creaked open and I hope the police will sort it out.

Mr C has been retrieved. Lots of murders. No one knows if the heroine is a supernatural being or what yet. Oh, we know now.

I am going to bed now C, glad to know you are there.

Wink

And that's only the first episode? Shock

I watched all 6, Cozie, hence the nervous crisis at the finale. But I was trying not to tell you the spoilers :) while hyperventilating.

It's cold in town, flat skies. I am stuck to the sofa again today re bug but really want to go for a walk as the park is icy and glamorous. Our local heron - lady, aged about 600 - has been disturbed by the demolition and has moved from the pond on Clap Common to circle the workmen threateningly. She is a very big bird in all senses.

Very threateningly, they don't know what they've unleashed - worse than any horror film. :) Luckily it's their day off so she's zipped back off to glower at the fishermen.

I expect PB is basking in Caribbean beach warmth.

Lanaorana2 · 05/02/2018 10:58

The felt is on its way for the mice. Don't tell PB, there's life's disappointments and there's my sewing. Roughly how big are the mice?

SoupDragon · 05/02/2018 11:00

I posted the feathers. I hope that the stamp is sufficient as I didn’t have a large letter size - I spent ages measuring the envelope to check it was less than 5mm thick and it was very close!

Lanaorana2 · 05/02/2018 12:13

Soup you are incredibly kind. Stuff the whole stamp thing - the PO tried to charge me 2.80 to post a glove last week, I snuck out and posted it second class small letter; it arrived 10 hours later. I reckon they overcharge you as policy, and I am not usually mean spirited.

cozietoesie · 05/02/2018 14:39

The actual mouse body is about 5.5 cm. The cord is about 6, the felt triangle about 2.25 and the feathers about a max of 12. (All measurements taken from the white mouse, which is the same apart from colour.)

Thanks Cozie. Mr C, who has expressed disdain for toys for at least two years, went beserk this am for tinkly ball.

I do not know what this means, but I do know it means trouble. Can he be jealous? I wouldn't put it past him, little furry tinker.

SoupDragon · 05/02/2018 15:33

FatCat’s favourite toy is his own tail. Which is lucky as it’s a) free and b) impossible to lose :o

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/02/2018 15:47

I would not have thought of doing that L. Dh works near two post offices and gets quotes from both.

Asbos favourite toy is an old used ear plug.

Weezol · 05/02/2018 17:05

Soup does he bite his tail, yowl with pain and then continue to harass his own tail as though he has no idea it's attached to him?
My lass does this, yowls, looks at me as if it's my fault* and then carries on...

*interlectually I know everything is my fault, I'm just not ready to accept it emotionally.

Ollivander84 · 05/02/2018 17:28

Offered Ollie Lily's kitchen chicken last night
Verdict - "DISGUSTING an I won't even lick it"
This morning offered Lily's kitchen poultry pie (so chicken...!)
"DELICIOUS" < slurping sound effects > "best food EVER"
ConfusedHmmHmm

I've had the finger for both Gourmet and Sheba today.

F I'm sick of forking out 3 quid to post a card because the thieving brute behind the counter claims it can't fit through that sub-atomic slot.

Look up post prices online before DH gets there (you'll be pleasantly surprised what the real limits are). Don't show them the parcel, simply buy stamps to required value. Run round the corner to the letter box, insert parcel.

Note: If the woman from the PO says when you realised you forgot your bag and go back 'You didn't just put a second class stamp on that package and post it did you', smile enigmatically.

Weedsnseeds1 · 05/02/2018 21:10

I was in PAH today. They have a two pack of brown mice ( one leather, one fur fabric) of approximately the correct dimensions.
Could these possibly be acceptable if red feathers were applied to the tail?

cozietoesie · 05/02/2018 21:22

And I have a PAH relatively close by! Grin

Worth a try?!

Weedsnseeds1 · 05/02/2018 21:31

They were catnip infused too, not sure if that's a good thing or irrelevant?
