Throat is better. I dare not put a cat flap in, I would come home to a house invaded by waifs and strays. Did wonder if he was too sore to jump up but he wouldn't come in the door either 🙄🙄🙄

TheSecondOfHerName · 06/02/2018 21:39

M has worked out how to have the best of both worlds. Surveying the garden, and also staying warm. This is not an action shot; she can happily spend several minutes like this.

Mr C hasn't moved off the quilt in 14 hours. These pics of frisky fascination with the snow are showing him up a bit.

I tell a lie, he stole some German sausage earlier as a snack between his five TV dinners and two chews, hand-fed. It was within paw reach, he almost had to stand up.

cozietoesie · 06/02/2018 22:06

The disadvantage of a cat flap - when 'I'm just testing things out' sort of ..........stretches. Grin

My spaniel once went through the cat flap at speed and took it with him down the garden Hmm

Grin

Just back from a fact-finding mission to the toy mice bit in Tesco. Met the caretaker - with an evil grin all over his face. Turns out NB has refused to turn up for food once since owner got back.

Turns out Siamese are keen proponents of natural justice. Grin

SoupDragon · 07/02/2018 09:52

Random memory that’s just popped into my head : my uncle had Siamese and one of them returned home with an unopened pack of smoked salmon once. Completely irrelevant to the thread.

Lanaorana2 · 07/02/2018 10:42

And entirely brilliant. :)

Lanaorana2 · 07/02/2018 11:10

Hot news: the caretaker is now feeding NB officially, as supplied by me (unofficially).

C you were, as ever, beyond right. When a Siamese chooses their person....

Good news in the long run, NB is being much better fed. The cornucopia of rare meats and treats is being funnelled via the caretaker, which proves acceptable.

cozietoesie · 07/02/2018 12:34

Siamese are keen proponents of justice of whatever description. I think that they would naturally prefer to see it accompanied by eg whippings and scourgings, but Hey. You take what you can get. Grin

Lanaorana2 · 07/02/2018 12:44

Perhaps the caretaker can train the besotted NB to roll up for meals with packets of smoked salmon - that would be fine restorative justice after the behaviour of the 'owner'. Here's hoping. Grin

I am out all day and all evening. Reckon O will be looking disapproving when I return? I've left him for 14hrs BlushShock

Allergictoironing · 07/02/2018 17:24

OMG Ollivander - disappointed may not be a strong enough word. Devastated maybe? Panicking? Hysterical?

I am dreading when I go away in April for a whole TWO nights - never been away overnight since my babies adopted me. Of course my DSis will be in twice a day to feed, water, litter tray etc but my poor Boycat won't get his required thrice daily cuddles from her. Not because she isn't willing, but "she hooman not mama" Shock so he will hide either under the bed or in the wardrobe while she is here. Girlcat couldn't care less, as long as there's some Dreamies left out for her & maybe Lik e Lix.

Lanaorana2 · 07/02/2018 17:30

Worried sick, I left Mr C, convinced he would pine away to dust.

He sat on the sofa, completely unconcerned, and got friendly with his duty rota of service staff, receiving tummy tickles at some point. Ate loads.

Take heart :)

cozietoesie · 07/02/2018 17:35

He'll likely be aiming for a look of deep disappointment as soon as he hears your key in the lock. (The rest of the time he'll be dozing.)

PB just visited his No 2 LWT. He's left now but he did two turnarounds in it. Smile

Yayayayyayay!!!! Another step forward with a brave and beautiful paw.

A very exciting, and featherlight parcel, has arrived. :)

cozietoesie · 07/02/2018 19:11

He's just brought his mouse onto the bed to play with. Shock

SoupDragon · 07/02/2018 19:13

Don’t open it in a draft.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/02/2018 19:32

I said he'd like it Grin

cozietoesie · 07/02/2018 19:33

You did indeed. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 07/02/2018 19:57

Have you smothered every inch of the bed in Dreamies?

cozietoesie · 07/02/2018 19:59

None there. Smile
