With you in spirit

He's also decided that part of the ritual is that he's entitled to a Dreamie just before Lights Out. That focuses his mind. Wink

Either spelling is correct these days, C.

Bet PB loves his dream feed. Mr C has sweets in bed at night with his thyroid pill, so instead of his meds being a daily battle, it's a lovely soothing ritual. I always tell him how much I love him before turning the lights off, which he waits for, am rewarded with a grunty purr. Must be the same for PB.

Ollivander84 · 28/02/2018 18:35

Dreamies are a perfect bedtime snack Grin
Vet told me O needs to come back unless he eats dry/wet, drinks and uses litter tray. We came home, he ate wet and dry, had a massive drink, went for a wee and looked at me like "all done. No more vet" Grin

LanaorAna2 · 28/02/2018 19:26

Precious O, have a lovely peaceful evening.

There's a red weather warning - danger to life - on the news about how cold it is. No idea PB moonlighted as a weatherman.

cozietoesie · 28/02/2018 19:40

All Siamese have it ingrained in them. Grin

Yay glad Ollie is home and fine.

Mine don't get A Dreamie at bed time. Both expect at least 2 before I go upstairs, then once I'm in bed Girlcat has 4-6 beside my bed while Boycat has the same on top of the bed (on top of me in fact).

LanaorAna2 · 28/02/2018 20:47

I've just had the last bath available in this postcode for some time... managed to spring into a lovely rush of warm water, all steamy & rose scented, moments before the boiler that does all 120 flats erupted. Get me:)

Beauty tip for the pet lover: if your beloved little puff of fur mauls you in places you can't reach, eg on the back, use Dermol, a very dull soap substitute that acquires remarkable healing powers and loveliness with a single drop of something pricy like Ren Rose Otto.

Heals the scratches faster and stops you flailing at them with a fork in the night. You end up lovely and soft, which your pet will enjoy too.

LanaorAna2 · 28/02/2018 21:13

Allergic they love it, don't they. :) Mr C has a few on the pillow then steals the rest of the packet in the night. I expect yours are better behaved Grin

Papergirl1968 · 28/02/2018 21:56

Glad Ollie is home with his momma Smile

Allergictoironing · 28/02/2018 22:06

The rest of my packet is firmly shut in the bedside drawer. I don't want them to get the idea that Dreamies can come from anywhere except my hands.

Actually they are much better behaved - there is a large OPEN bag of Dreamies on the coffee table which they haven't (so far, touching wood) raided as yet & there's been one there for months. But they are rather peculiar - don't like much human food except hot fresh roast chicken (boycat) or the knuckle bone of a lamb shank (Girlcat). I think the only thing they have ever stolen as such was a little bit of the gravy left in the bottom of a Fray Bentos tinned pie.

Bedtime for me now, my NDN "kindly" drove my car & parked it by the main road for me so I can get out to work in the morning - he's an ex-bus driver & used to driving automatics in bad conditions.

Ollivander84 · 01/03/2018 08:53

Finishing work at 11am Grin so me and O are having a snow/duvet day as he's meant to be warm and quiet HmmGrin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/03/2018 09:04

He's speaking to you then? :)

Ollivander84 · 01/03/2018 09:20

Mostly chirruping and head butting me. In between stuffing his face

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/03/2018 09:26

Glad he's not missing his teeth then :). Did he keep his fang?

Ollivander84 · 01/03/2018 09:46

He did Grin I have the chart somewhere of what they removed and what is missing

Ollivander84 · 01/03/2018 12:06

Here we go. M = missing, R = removed and all the ones he doesn't have are coloured in

Oh my goodness - gummy boy! Hope he's got enough left for his bacon bits :)

LanaorAna2 · 01/03/2018 12:16

Plenty there to cope with pork scratchings :)

LanaorAna2 · 01/03/2018 12:18

I'm delighted - the boiler here is a) the last thing to break down since Xmas b) the only thing I don't have to pay for, the bliss.

London is quiet as Xmas Day, while, light and bright - and blissfully silent.

Ollivander84 · 01/03/2018 12:23

7 upper and 10 lower left. No upper fangs! He is troughing through his dry food so no issues at all, and begging to go play in the snow. I suspect the vets "keep him warm" doesn't involve minus 5 gallivanting

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/03/2018 12:24

Mine has decided he likes snow!
All these Dreamies in bed catsSmile. Given his substance of choice is Lik-e-liks, I'm afraid it's a no to bed time snacks here!

LanaorAna2 · 01/03/2018 13:28

Oh Weeds you must send that pic to the BBC or something, deserves a miles wider audience. Tiny fur fairy enjoying the snow!

Mr C is wedged on heated throw casting disapproving looks at the sky.
