A word to the wise - never believe a word I say about sticking a first class stamp on and skipping past the slot that measures how thick your precious missives are in nano units. Blush

cozietoesie · 19/02/2018 15:20

Minor logistical nuances, Lana. As I said - they're in the vicinity. Grin

Well, it's all go here. I've talked to the vet again re Mr C's pain pills and we've put off this week's visit & decided to go for next month, given the fiasco last time.

We have discussed pain meds & again I asked for 'synthetic opioids' at the top of my voice, natch, as the builders were making a racket. I think the neighbours heard.

I know they heard. Me. Begging for Fentanyl Grin

LanaorAna2 · 19/02/2018 16:35

Mr C knocked over the tulips this am doing zoomies at full tilt so I think his pain can't be that bad.

He is getting a bit knobbly and a touch misshapen in the joints which worries me but OTOH so am I and it doesn't hurt much. Do you think that's the right call C?

cozietoesie · 19/02/2018 16:38

No, I don't think I do. You can't tell when it will start hurting after all. I'd have something ready 'just in case'.

I think you're right. And it's easier to control pain at the start rather than do a rescue job, isn't it.

I'll get him booked in earlier - they reckoned he would be ok, but you're right, it's still v wintery twinge-making weather. Slightly annoyingly they want to run a whole load of bloods which he hates and has just had done and were fine. I might be able to get him in next week. He's still on the glucosamine which really is working, so that's a plus.

On me now, pinning me down, purring.

cozietoesie · 19/02/2018 20:06

If he's well, no need to dose him up, I reckon. Just be alert.

LanaorAna2 · 19/02/2018 20:38

Absolutely. Have rung vet and left message.

I am feeling so guilty about putting him through the vet that I went out to get chicken and chips for supper with sachet of mayonnaise.

I have had two spicy strips and some chips. Mr C is comatose after two massive chicken pieces slathered in mayo.

Echoing guttural belches from the chaise longue...

Waking suddenly to see my darling little kitten, all 7kg of whom was spreadeagled in the air above me, I took a moment to reflect that petcare is not for the uncommitted.

Mr C reckons cold weather is coming and wants to kip on my chest non-stop. Which is fine but he knows if he wakes me up he gets a chin scratch at the same time. Trampoline time - I think he's going for Olympic Gold.

Work on the bathroom leak. Someone was not impressed

I've never seen him looking this...damp with unenthusiasm.

Ollivander84 · 20/02/2018 21:41

It was a man. And the banging disturbed his nap. And he had to go outside
He's good at withering looks

cozietoesie · 20/02/2018 21:46

Oh that look is a bit worse than withering, I reckon. Grin

Ollivander84 · 20/02/2018 21:47

Disgusted? Grin

LanaorAna2 · 20/02/2018 21:47

Does Olli have a Sicilian background?

cozietoesie · 20/02/2018 21:50

Ha!

Well, if it was the 17th Century and I found myself with Judge Jeffreys looking at me like that, I reckon I'd be making my peace with the Almighty..........

I think you'll have to comfort him with a sharing bag of pork scratchings for one.

Ollivander84 · 20/02/2018 22:07

Hooman home so all is now well

There's a cat killer on the loose who started off in South London up the road from me - 400 victims later, the creature doing it, who one is forced to refer to as human, has moved to Kent. Now, finally, they've got three coppers on the case. Don't google, not nice. Might volunteer for the charity that's running the campaign.

How PB? Is CT acceptable sanctuary as the Russian wind moves in?

cozietoesie · 20/02/2018 22:34

Sprawled in his LWT. Smile
