I think you credit them with too much altruism. Grin

That poor woman 'I'm coming out... give me a minute...now, now darlings...{weakly}...mummy coming' Grin

How could PB be louder? Has the double glazing not exploded? Have you tried Bose headphones?

Mind you, I love a talking cat. Mr C is skilled at oral commands, and he uses the same tones of voice as humans do for emotions, so I usually know what he's saying. Particularly familiar with the more-disappointed-than-angry tone :)

LanaorAna2 · 18/02/2018 17:02

O have you tried to break the cycle of mewing? Ie picked Olli up (he hates it but it doesn't hurt, that is the point) and done tummy tickles (also annoying) so he is mildly inconvenienced by way of reprimand? And talked back a lot?

Ollivander84 · 18/02/2018 17:38

I can only break it by
A) screaming back or B) food (briefly) or C) cuddles
He won't eat his wet food and he won't come and cuddle in the night Hmm

cozietoesie · 18/02/2018 17:49

If he's going for his procedure Tuesday, I'd do nothing if you can bear it.

A week on Tuesday 🙄😭

cozietoesie · 18/02/2018 17:53

Oh.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 18/02/2018 17:54

I reckon he has a sore mouth/head.

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 18/02/2018 18:04

Possibly. Just strange as he wasn't doing it before the vet visit and he must have been sore then Confused
It was meant to be this Tuesday but I can't pick him up because of work so had to reschedule

cozietoesie · 18/02/2018 18:08

Not necessarily........Tooth issues can vary.

If you're truly worried, why not have a word with his vet?

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 18/02/2018 18:22

I think I will if it continues. I just can't get him in any earlier because he needs to be in at 8am and not collected until after 6pm... I do late shifts at one job and start at 8am at the other

LanaorAna2 · 18/02/2018 18:46

When it comes to vets and timing, just rest assured your beloved companion will only require assistance at the most inconvenient/physically impossible/bankrupt-making moment.

Have you talked back for hours to see if anything happens.

Ollivander84 · 18/02/2018 18:57

I tried but granted at 3/4/5am my conversations are rather peppered with swear words

LanaorAna2 · 18/02/2018 20:03

We've all been there. Hope you get some kip tonight.

Ollivander84 · 18/02/2018 22:01

Ah ha. He wants to go in his igloo. He hasn't been in it since the vet visit. Because I scooped him out the igloo to go in the carrier! That's why he's sleeping on the sofa

Weedsnseeds1 · 18/02/2018 22:59

The noise of those shower cats Shockone paces, panics and claws at the shower in exactly the same way but at least he keeps the commentary down to the odd "ack ack" or "whaaaaa?"!
That would drive me demented!

Weedsnseeds1 · 18/02/2018 23:00

Mine, not one.

cozietoesie · 18/02/2018 23:05

Those owners shouldn't have been allowed to have two Siamese.........Grin

I have moved the igloo. He is kneading in it and we have silence Smile

Cats are weird HmmGrin

LanaorAna2 · 19/02/2018 10:27

You all right O? Was beauty sleep achieved for both of you?

First time ever here: I was woken by a very tender paw softly stroking my cheek. Not the usual furry fist in the eyeball.

Then Mr C smashed a vase of flowers because he's gone off AGAIL DD, all back to normal.

Ollivander84 · 19/02/2018 10:50

Two short episodes of shouting but nothing like he has been!

LanaorAna2 · 19/02/2018 13:22

Good news to start the week :)

I've been vac-sealed to Mr C, but I fear it's my reduced sandwich he's after. Coronation chicken, always a treat.

Ollivander84 · 19/02/2018 13:45

Ollie has eaten two entire small tins of meowing heads food. He declared that disgusting last month Hmm
