Just that really, noticed today he's not right and is now feeling very sorry for himself.
He's got plenty water Andover increased his wet food to get his water up. He's been sick so changing to little and often food.
Is there anything I can do in the meantime?
He is currently under the bed. Poor soul.

Wishing you and your cat all the best.

My old cat was in vet hospital for a week with a urinary problem. I thought he would never come home. He was up & down & I was so worried, but he made it through and came home. He's in the best place OP. Try not to worry.

Big hugs Hecks hope he’s doing ok

Have his kid values come down?

Thank you everyone.

That is good to hear went although not if you know what I mean! He was doing so well.

Vet sorry I can't remember, I think the last update they said there were no stone or crystals so we're going to get advice as to what food he should be on as he's a bit of a mystery at the moment.
They have taken him off all meds in case they caused a reaction and are waiting on further bloods think ill have this info tomorrow.
They did not think he had a water infection due to the meds he's been on but did say his temp could have caused it.
I spoke to them about 9pm and they were keeping him cool and he was a bit calmer although eyes wide and ears twitching he seemed a little more settled. They are keeping an eye.
I feel a bit as they said they think it should pass.

My little Ivy cat had crystals and bladder issues was very poorly. She was on a drip, antibiotics and is fine now.

She has to have a prescription diet now to dissolve the crystals etc but she likes it and has been fine ever since.

Hope he's back to normal soon.

Veterinari · 18/01/2018 09:38

Thats good news OP
Hope he’s home with you soon

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/01/2018 11:48

How is he OP?

Hecksonaplane · 18/01/2018 20:17

He's home! We picked up tonight, he's very cuddly and was ravenous!

I had said he's quite twitchy/jumpy at home so as the catheter had been removed and he'd done a couple of pees they were happy to try him at home.

He has to go back in the morning so ill ask then what they thought it was the temp, twitching and blockage but I'm just happy to have him home.

You've all be so kind thank you, and thanks againVet

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/01/2018 23:23

Fantastic news!

Hecksonaplane · 19/01/2018 10:55

He had his checkup this morning, his bladder is filling again and he's not peed. To keep an eye this afternoon and if still no peeling to take him back.
But he has not even been in his tray so has not tried as far as I am aware. I have watched him and he does not seem uncomfortable and not seen any straining.

Oh no ... Is it back to the vet time? :(.

Wolfiefan · 19/01/2018 22:21

Oh no. I've just seen this. Mine can't resist a wee if I use the toilet.
Running tap?

Hecksonaplane · 19/01/2018 22:30

We went to vets late this afternoon got meds etc his bladder was full but not hard so they were happy to let him home.
He's been in his tray once and I missed him but no pee so I called the vets and they said he still sounds ok he's not looking or sounding in any discomfort so just keep an eye on him.
Take him in if he looks upset or starts being unsettled. Otherwise keep his appt first thing tomorrow.
He's walking fine and happy to be picked up currently asleep on his cushion.
He doesn't go in our bathroom, I even tried taking him to his tray but he's having none of it!
How often should cats pee! I'm like "just give it up!"
