My beautiful baby girl (nearly 3) has been missing since Sunday evening (so that's 4 nights she's been gone for now) and we have not seen her since. The longest she has ever been gone for was about a day and a half.

DH and I are so worried about her. On Tuesday evening we posted flyers through the letterboxes of the surrounding streets (about 100) and stuck them to lampposts. Have informed local vets and shared on social media (my page and local pages). Called the council to check if they have cleared any cats from the road since Sunday evening but they haven't (which gives me hope). But we have not had any response at all.

I just have no idea what to do from here, we are devastated and cant even think about Christmas now. We are calling her and looking for her regularly but no joy. I'm especially worried because its cold out there. I'm so hoping she is shut in somewhere and she gets let out soon, or has gone off for a long walk. She is such a nosey/curious/friendly little thing, so maybe she is staying at someone else's house.

Sorry for the ramble, just wanted to get everything off my chest. I think we've pretty much done everything we can for now (tempted to distribute flyers further afield, but how much further?? You could go on forever). Just miss her so much and want her home for Christmas :-( Can't stand the thought of her being trapped somewhere and being cold/starving/dehydrated Sad

Weedsnseeds1 · 11/01/2018 19:58

@rainbowcakes my pleasure, sorry we didn't find her, but it's a happy ending, which is all I hoped forSmile

sweatylemon · 11/01/2018 20:08

Oh WOW!
I have just read your whole thread.
I have 4 cats, & I get so upset when they vanish for even a short time.
I am delighted she is home.
What an amazing adventure she must have had.

Icequeen01 · 11/01/2018 20:17

When I saw how many updates there had been on your thread today I knew there had to be news. I will admit I looked in trepidation but I'm delighted to read it is happy news! So pleased she is safe and well and certainly looks no worse for her adventure. She's a beautiful cat!

rainbowcakes · 12/01/2018 07:45

So nice to read all of your lovely comments i showed them to my husband last night & he was really touched!

She's settled back in so well, honestly its like nothing has happened! Shes not lost any weight and shes still so soft! I would love to know how she got right over the other side of the town! But i guess we'll never know!

She's definitely grounded for the foreseeable future! And will get her wormed etc.

@Weedsnseeds1 Not at all, was 100% worth doing as it got the word out there & she got back home eventually! We were just so grateful for your help Smile

Here she is zonked on the sofa last night. Definitely living up to my name for her (Queen Polly) 😁

All hail to Queen naughty town crossing Polly!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 12/01/2018 09:50

Am so pleased she's home! Have been following, and worrying, about you all. Tell Polly from me not to be so naughty again!

Weedsnseeds1 · 12/01/2018 10:49

Was she heading back towards your in laws, or a completely different direction?!

Want2beme · 12/01/2018 13:54

@Weedsnseeds1 nope, total opposite...she was in a street down near the seafront!

@DancesWithOtters She's doing really well thank you. Apparently been asleep most of the time. Don't blame her, she may not have had a decent sleep in a warm house for nearly 4 weeks! Grin

I have told her she's been naughty & is grounded....she won't tell me where she's been though or what she's been up to though. How rude! Shock

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/01/2018 21:12

I'm so happy for you, I've been praying for her safe return every night. She looks in excellent condition.

Weedsnseeds1 · 12/01/2018 21:25

rainbowcakes not sure if you've noticed in all the excitement, bit you have a boil water notice from Bristol Water. Don't forget Polly will need boiled or bottled too ( although her little adventure might have boosted her immune system)!
