I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

Always good to know!.

So he's miaowing at you then?. Does he normally do that?.

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 17:12

Oh Yes. Talks a blue streak.

The timing and intent are new though.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/01/2018 17:16

Broke Your girl is so pretty!. Very dainty looking.

Mine shouts at the rain regardless of door status.

PB trusts you and is initiating contact for specifics, safe in the knowledge Something Nice will happen.

Breakfast banter shows he's getting much more grounded. Does he say good morning or is it straight in with the order?

I'm not sure to be honest. (I'm not at my best, first thing. Blush)

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 19:21

He's leaving a goodly proportion of his food now, though, for later eating. Not wolfing it all immediately.

Ollivander84 · 22/01/2018 19:22

I fed some encore today which was met with suspicion. He sneaked back to the bowl to eat it Grin

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 19:27

A secret success then? Smile

TheLongRider · 22/01/2018 19:51

@Ollivander84 We have a microwavable heat pad that claims up to 10 hours heat. Snugglesafe is the brand. One of those under Ollie's sheepskin and you'll never be sat on again.

Ollivander84 · 22/01/2018 20:52

He has a heated cuddle friend with beating heart. Don't ask GrinHmm

How goes it today with the morning chorus? Mr C started it off at this end, yowling like a good'un. He stomped onto the balcony, ate a load of Type 2 cat grass, threw up with suitably unforgettable volume, and is now smiling at me from Hot Quilt.

Waif says hi

The adventures of Newerboy
YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/01/2018 11:29

What is that in the second bowl? I looks suspiciously like roast chicken?

Waif, or 'no-balls' as I call her, also looks a trifle chubby. Maybe it is the camera angle???

cozietoesie · 24/01/2018 11:41

She does, doesn't she? Grin

Lanaorana2 · 24/01/2018 12:21

Waif is lovely and looks v cheery. Mr C often looks a little bit round in pictures, they add 10lb, as I often have to remind the vet.

10lb would explain nearly all Mr C's little tummy.

Roast chicken.... is that a puy lentil I can see? Nice.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/01/2018 12:23

You ask your vet to estimate Mr C's weight through showing them a photo?

At least all that might be in Mr C's tummy is food...

Lanaorana2 · 24/01/2018 12:24

Has Pboy spoken this morning?

The vet and myself have lively discussions about Mr C's BMI. These so-called experts can be very narrow-minded, I am sad to say.

I do hope Waif is in an interesting condition.

Do you? Most people I know look at the floor with their hands in their pockets and twist one foot around on the ball while muttering 'ssssss' noises - somewhat like Corporal Nobby Nobbs upon meeting the Hogfather.

Lanaorana2 · 24/01/2018 13:29

As I explain over and over again, 'heavy bones' are a recognised medical anomaly that any professional should surely be aware of :)

Mr C's not too fat at the moment to be honest, the need for a crash diet was eliminated when he was ill at Xmas. Poor little cat.

It's encore chicken and brown rice Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/01/2018 13:38

I hope that Ollie Waif enjoyed it!

Of course big bones are a thing!
