Has anyone experienced this before? Currently away on hols and just got an email to say one of my cats has escaped from the cattery (hole in the roof of the pen walkway). Gutted as I put them in there to keep them safe as our last kitten got run over when we had friends feeding them.

Ive just dropped mne off and i will admit to going right up to the pen because of your little cat. Did you ever tell anyone on social media or are you beyond anger now? I kerp completely ng on here hoping for news.

I did tell people on social media and something really upsetting happened last night. I got a phone call from a young guy saying he'd found my cat. I said 'ok?'. He then goes on to say 'yes but he's not in a good way, he's wrapped around my car tyre, I hope you've got insurance as he's made a bit of a mess to my bumper'. He was having a laugh with his mates so I just hung up on him. What's so sad is I imagined how my daughter would have felt if she had overheard (she didn't). Some people are just so sick.

Some people are seriously sick.

That's absolutely sick.
So sorry OP and best of luck.

What a sick B

I'm so sorry to hear that. The majority of people are kind & helpful with lost pets but there's always the odd one or two who think they're being "witty". Karma will catch up with the unfeeling idiot. I now post only on the local FB cats page about lost/unwell cats as they are always helpful and understanding

And on the litter tray of course!
