Come and sing the praises for your black/black and white cats

Couldn't resist after reading they are the most unpopular colour on another thread. Here is my little black man who has a small white patch on his chest. He is the most sleek and handsomest cat who chose us at his foster home and I love him to bits.

His sister who is a tabby is nowhere near as affectionate or sophisticated as my boy, I just don't understand why they are overlooked. (I do love my tabby as well, she just isn't as cool!)

Here's my gorgeous cat Lyla, we found her, she was a stray and climbed into my husbands van when we were collecting a sofa from somewhere. She was skin and bone when we first got her and wasn't microchipped, so we kept her and love her to pieces!
That was 4 years ago now...

Yes Heman. He gets tired after hanging about on street corners all night, selling his 'nip'. Then he feels the need to overindulge when he gets home. Just to relax, like.

Before crashing out, he munches through several bags of assorted flavoured Dreamies. That he got in exchange for the 'nip'.

Mantra

Here is Madam returned to the comfort of her manky old chair after many days patrolling her estate in the sunshine. She's only coming in for food and buggered off again these last few days.

She is that cat. Every neighbourhood has one....people come up to me and say 'Oh is that your cat?' And tell me what she has done. She's bloody lucky a) we got her after I had DS so I am almost impossible to embarrass and b) I luffs her!

Her current pleasure is lying on a neighbours conservatory roof plaguing the merry hell out of their poor dog .

This is 5 cat, 1/4 Persian, 1/4 Siamese, 1/2 farmyard bruiser.

She died a little over a year ago and left a very big hole. She talked a lot, "Merowl... Merowl..." especially when she was bringing squeaky presents through the cat flap. Her favorite perch was my bosom, I spent many evenings craning my neck to see the TV or the computer screen, or on my shoulder as I laid on my side in bed, if I rolled over she'd smoothly transition as if she was on bearings.

I miss her hugely, we have one cat now who is quite nervy and seems much more confident now she is an only, which I'm quite glad of as I don't really want another yet.

This is my little black and white baby. Last year I hear a loud repeating mewing. I rushed out, thinking one of mine had been knocked down. It was pissing with rain and I followed the sound until I came to this little baby by the side of the road!!
She's now one and a truly lovely lap cat.

We adopted a sister and brother black-and-white/fully black pair. We couldn't choose between then and didn't like to split them up. The lady who had fostered them was so pleased to see them going to the same home.

The boy is big and loves me (the most) to rub his belly. The girl is so light and adores dh. When we were recently on a short holiday my Mum (cat-sitter extraordinaire) said that she'd lead her up to dh's side of our bed and meow away. Awe.

I love them so much and like others on this thread didn't know that they were unpopular. People who don't like them don't deserve cats.

Some gorgeous black and black & white cats here! I have to share my two beautiful girls. They're both rescues, TrackyCat1 is about 3 and a half, and TrackyCat2 coming up for a year.

TrackyCat1 isn't terribly fond of the newcomer, and swears frequently and then flounces out through the cat flap... but of late we have occasionally caught them playing on their stairs together. But as soon as they're spotted, it's back to grumbling and swearing again.

I have three, but can't post pictures. All very different in character.

Big is male, daft, and very very family orientated. Hides from strangers but all over us when there are no visitors in the house.

Medium is female, feisty, ferrel born food thief who actually runs the whole household. Very cuddly.

Small is a little genius, can open doors and turn lights on and off.

I adore them all!

funnily enough when black and black and white kittens are tiny cute kittens, they seem to get rehomed at our centre in around the same time as the coloured ones,

unless someone has a penchant for a particular colour like ginger or tabby,

its the black and white mom cats who seem to be there longer always feel sorry for them people look, they do all they can to charm someone and then they go and pick a tabby or tortie mom cat who isnt so friendly just because they have a prettier colouring

Lovely to see everyone's gorgeous cats. My parents adopted a young jet black cat from a rescue centre. She was a stray who had given birth to 5 beautiful grey tabby kittens whilst in the rescue. We saw them but they had all been reserved when my parents first saw Sooty, and they didn't want a kitten anyway. I'm sure the kittens were easy to find homes for as they were gorgeous with lovely markings, and we met a family collecting one of them when we brought our black cat home. Sooty was a really friendly cat- good with children and always sat on visitors laps, whether they were cat lovers or not. She was very much loved. Sadly she had cancer and had to be put to sleep last year after 12 years with them.

This is my boy Dougal - he's 9 months old and we've had him for a couple of weeks now, and totally adore him have always loved black and black & white cats.

Smudge, she's 6 months old, small and feisty. At 10 weeks old she got into a guests car, undetected. She found her way home (over 4 miles), it took her two days and she had a damaged eye but otherwise ok. Another of her nine (or apparently seven in Brazil, you loose two lives just by living here ) lives was lost when, at 4 months, the feisty little one tried to kill a 30cm venomous snake. Luckily I managed to get her away from it!!!

I can't sing the praises of my black and white today. Gave him a handful of Dreamies. When he realised no more were forthcoming, he slapped me. Twice. Arsehole.

This is the loveliest thread ever on MN, I'm so enjoying seeing all the lovely B/B/W's! Here's my gorgeous girl, a rescue like so many but the most loving cat I've ever known.
