Couldn't resist after reading they are the most unpopular colour on another thread. Here is my little black man who has a small white patch on his chest. He is the most sleek and handsomest cat who chose us at his foster home and I love him to bits.

His sister who is a tabby is nowhere near as affectionate or sophisticated as my boy, I just don't understand why they are overlooked. (I do love my tabby as well, she just isn't as cool!)

Brilliant thread! Here are my black fluffy beasties - Monty (the semi-long hair) and Rolo (the short hair). Adopting black rescue cats is the number one top feline karma thing you can do - you will be repaid with much love, purring and delightful little black panthers.

My lovely little Felix. Long and sleek and a totally unique personality and very distinctive, loud meow. He also has a permanent head tilt and a tail that curls up along his back.

Marking place so I remember to chase Moonkitten about tonight and get a decent photo. Not that he's a kitten any more - he's two in a week, and a hulking great pigeon-killer!

Here is my little girl Charlie. She was a rescue kitten and is so funny and a real sweetheart!

Here is Moonkitten. He has a very long tail but decided to curl it round himself before jumping on his mum. She's a white tortie and so we laugh and say she is black and white with ginger bits! He goes brownish in sunlight.

Awww thanks, she is lovely. But it's so hard to get a good photo of her as she's so black!

I love my black cat but can't find a photo that won't out me

They're beautiful. Here is ours!

Their Gracious Majesties. They are both almost pure black, barring a tiny dot of white on their chests. My photos of them would probably turn out better if I didnt have quite so much dark furniture, or if they would condescend to sit on the lighter stuff.

Kitty, that photo of just some eyes is great.

This is my boy. He is a rescue from a Gumtree type site who was very nervous and timid but is a happy chappy now and very vocal. He loves getting on our bed during the day and is very irritated at weekends when we make noise! I work from home and he likes me to put his blanket on my desk so he can join me! He's fab.

Does anyone else have the same problem with their all black cats? When they are sitting asleep in the dark and you can't tell whether you're looking at the back or the front of their head?!
