Fuck, my cat is gone and it's all my fault

Girlcat escaped from her carrier outside the vets and was over the nearest fence and gone before I could grab her. It was my fault, I didn't clip it up properly. The vets is 7 miles away. We searched for a couple of hours with no luck. I'm doing some posters and leaflets. I just want her home. She's chipped at least so someone might find her and take her to the vets.

I've been lurking here, and I'm really pleased to hear the positive news -- about the baby and about the prospects for a safe cat return!
Best of luck!

I saw (but couldn't help) a frightened lost collie dog today. Heartbreaking to think of his nervousness and the owners' worry and sadness.

Good luck. Everything crossed for you xx

Madratlady · 29/12/2013 10:07

She somehow ate the tuna but managed not to trigger the trap!

Trying again tonight.

Nooooo!!

BUT at least she went into the trap. Wink So near and yet so far......

I am willing her to come back to you. x

cozietoesie · 29/12/2013 10:13

Fingers crossed. ( Little Bisom that she is.)

Follyfoot · 29/12/2013 10:14

Wishing you loads of luck with this - be patient, it will happen Smile

ThistledownAndCobweb · 29/12/2013 12:01

At least she knows there is food there so hopefully she'll be back.

DH recently had to trap an injured stray and it took three weeks. He'd perfected hoiking the food out but eventually we got him.

Here's hoping for a lovely reunion with you and girl cat.

ExitPursuedByAChristmasGrinch · 29/12/2013 15:18

Was it definitely her who ate the tuna?

Fingers crossed for tonight.

DidoTheDodo · 30/12/2013 18:18

Everything crossed that madcat comes back for tuna tonight and that you have her home safe with you very soon.

TamzinGrey · 30/12/2013 21:11

Oh do come on Madcat - we're all waiting here, breaths held.
Good luck Madratlady.

Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2013 21:39

Here, kitty kitty kitty....

notapizzaeater · 31/12/2013 19:43

Arghhhh doesn't she know we are all waiting to hear if she's ok.

Madratlady · 31/12/2013 21:30

No news yet. Awkward animal that she is!

TheBunsOfPanettone · 31/12/2013 21:32

Oh you naughty MadCat, come back!

Sparklingbrook · 31/12/2013 21:44

Sad Is real baby home though?

Madratlady · 31/12/2013 21:47

Human baby is home. Boycat is fascinated, we think that he understands that it's a people kitten and he meows when ds cries and acts worried when we change ds's nappy because he screams when we do.

Sparklingbrook · 31/12/2013 21:49

Aww. He must be very confused. Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/12/2013 21:54

I've always thought cats can understand babies are our young, despite not really looking like adult humans really.

Madratlady · 31/12/2013 21:58

He's taking it very well. We just need his friend back and everything will be great.

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/12/2013 22:12

Although onesies are doing a good job of making adults look like babies

YourHandInMyHand · 31/12/2013 22:33

Madrat just wanted to share that my girlcat went missing whilst I was pregnant and we actually thought she had been ran over, 2 weeks after she first went missing we found her safe and well but rather skinny, in a local builder's yard.

I'd been so emotional and worried about her but we got her home in the end. I hope your girlcat is home safe soon too.

JaneEyresHeir · 01/01/2014 12:10

Just de-lurking to say Many Congratulations Madratlady to you and your DH on the birth of your son. Wishing you all health and happiness for 2014, and hoping that GirlCat is home with you very soon Thanks
