Some bastard has hit my cat.

Some fucking shit ran over my cat!

My neighbour called me and said someone was speeding down our road ( which drives me mad as we have a school and nursery near us and it is 20 mph, but that's another thread....) and our cat ran across the road and they hit it. Get this they slowed then fucking drove off, did not even get out to see if he was okay.

So I had to take all three of my children home to see if he was dead bloody traumatic for them ( he was not dead) he is now at the vets with god knows what wrong with him, when I picked Him up and put him in my car he collapsed.

So to the Aibu can I watch out for the car as i have the reg and a good description and stick hundreds of post it notes thanking them for not getting out of the car the bastards? Angry

Poor cat. Some people don't care about cats.

Someone poisoned my cat with antifreeze the other week. Total renal shut down. Has to have him put to sleep.How some people can leave animals to suffer, whether by accident or not, is beyond me.

So sorry to hear this, I hope your cat is ok.

I've lost two cats this way so I know how upsetting it is, someone upthread said it's something every cat owner dreads happening and that's true.

A decent person would have stopped, but unfortunately not everyone is.

I must be a heartless bitch but I'm a bit meh to be honest. I can't imagine getting dragged into the drama of do it knocking and scraping cat off the road just because some stupid cat chose to run in front if me. The mess and potential damage to my car I'd have to sort out would be my first concern.

Someone ran over my cat, many moons ago, poor chap was mortified and came and knocked on my door, we looked for the cat as she was hit and run off and her back leg was minced. Luckily I was a vet nurse at the time and called my boss out to fix her up, she had to have her leg off but she lived a good few years after that - had that person not stopped and knocked my cat would have died in agony. He came back the next day to find out that she was OK, he didn't know where to put himself when she came hopping out Grin i almost felt sorry for him!

paradise you don't have to like cats, or care about animals at all. What is a good thing to remember though I'd that, that "stupid cat" is someone's beloved pet. A few mins of inconvenience is nothing when someone's family member died. I find it very sad that you would rather a distraught owner spent weeks wondering where her cat was after it dragged itself off to die, than knock on a couple of doors.:(

I am no cat lover (infact the local ones drive me mad) but I couldn't just leave one if I had hit it. I couldn't leave any animal to suffer.

I've had cats that have been ran over before, it's not nice but a risk you take I guess. Cats roam for miles.
