What breed mix would you put this chap as?

Recently adopted pup, 2 years old thereabouts.

Lab cross... something by all accounts.

We have just sent off for DNA testing, but I'm curious as to what others would guess at?

He's a big chap, around 39kg. With a white flash on his chest and a little on his paws.

Labrador/great Dane? That's my guess anyway. Gorgeous dog.

Another vote for lab x pointer.

This is a bit out there but he looks exactly like the dog we had when I was a child and he was a lab x rough collie. Down to the long nose and white flash. He was a lovely boy. He might be a bit big for that though.

I’d say he’s pure Labrador, I’m not seeing anything else obvious in there and some Labs are massive!

Yes maybe lab x pointer? He mainly looks like a large black lab but in the side photo his nose is a bit more pointy and his ears are a bit smaller.

He is a beauty, we are very taken with him.

This is him face on.

We were erring towards pointer, Weimaraner, possibly Dane with the slightly wobbly lip.

His previous owner had told the charity retriever x Welsh hound, which I can't really see.

If that's the cross, he should be a brilliant dog.

ETA, seeing his fairly pale eyes, possibly x Weim. But the white chest patch suggests GSP.

With those eyes, I would say Weimaraner.

Labrador. Gundog types tend to have longer noses and be longer in the leg than show types. Having said that mine is on the stocky side as that is how his breeder ( Charlie Thorburn) prefers them. The white on him can come up in black labs.

That's what I was going with or maybe a pointer of sorts, he is a handsome boy.
