We're having a crappy night.
I took Pod out for a morning walkie post-vote in which he yanked the lead so hard I turned my ankle and it has ballooned. He scoffed all the special magic food and slept all day, and I mean ALL day, then I gave him a really long walk in the evening which was agony . So delighted was Pod to be heading to his favourite paddock, and no doubt feeling refreshed after catching up on his sleep, he got all skittish and jumpy on his lead and started biting my sleeves and while I was wrestling with him, I managed to wrench my little finger, also agony. At which point I burst into tears in the middle of the dog walking field, which must have looked pretty mad. Four people stopped me to coo over Pod and ask what breed his is and to one of them I blurted out the reply, "Thanks, do you want him?". The lady laughed, and I was mainly joking.
So-called DP was out tonight and by the time he got home Pod had eaten, settled and got back up again commencing his whiny, barky, wall-scratching routine. After a measley ten minutes DP started doing exaggerated sighing and groaning at which point I quite sharply told him to go to bed so he'll be acting all wounded in the morning. I don't know why he acts so dramatic when he doesn't actually have to do anything where Pod is concerned (apart from put up with him) and I'm the one walking the streets at midnight with a banjaxed ankle. And my slider split open halfway round because I didn't spot that Pod had chewed it secretly.
I had actually motivated my exhausted ass to clean the floors while DP was out but they're now covered in Kenneth's last mortal remains and dog hair from giving Pod reassuring scritches.
I've already broken the vets rules about him not having anything other than his new food. His disgusting ostrich bone is literally the only thing keeping him from pulling the house down.
Oh and the crowning turd on the shit heap is his lovely polling station photo missed out on being featured in the press because I had my notifications turned off so I didn't see the lady from AP's message.
