Seriously, if anyone is considering getting a teenage/rescued/sight-hound/Podenco/all of the above and has NO idea what they're doing, please enjoy the previous instalments from the day we brought him home, to now, six months later. Posts will oscillate wildly from euphoric to mental breakdown and back again.

He is so lucky to have found his family. A few quiet weeks would be nice for you all!

We had such a glorious walk.

The dog park is always busy after school when and when the tide is high and when I took Pod today there were a million people there. First he met his new extremely special friend GiantFlop and the Ridgeback#5 and assorted others and although this would probably put most non-Doghouse MNs into a coma it was GLORIOUS how no one listened to anyone (except the boarder collies obvs) they were all charging around playing and just being dogs and it was so lovely.

GiantFlop is, get this, a mastiff/Dane/Labrador cross. She is every bit as gorgeous and massive as you're imagining.

No pukes and poops are starting to look slightly less like puddles. He has got very savvy to the gross probiotic paste though, I have to chase him around the house with it.

I'm on the sofa again with Pod tonight. I've left space for him at one end but he's just come and sat on me.

Lovely update :) Giant Flop sounds adorable.

He possibly enjoys being chased with the paste? Just a little bit?

He's adept at just holding it in his mouth and letting it fall out the minute I let him go 😂

I will try and get a vid of him and GiantFlop playing as she's really quite something. Makes Pod look like a toothpick

Oh goodness - what a rollercoaster! Glad he's better again. GiantFlop sounds wonderful!

Night time update.

Pod is very happy to be home and his chicken rice and sweet potato is going down a treat. He had a long play with BabyPod and GentleBounce.

BabyPod has been on steroids for his rash and has become ravenous and porky.

I have some excellent stills from their epic battle, including Pod looking shocked and Pod and GentleBounce doing another of their "Forbidden Lovers in a Renaissance Painting" poses.

It's so lovely that Pod has doggy friends.

I’ve not checked in on the thread for a few days & was so worried to see your hospital update sp lovely to see him playing happily 😍

DangerPod nearly gave me an aneurysm at the beach this morning.

I now know not to take Pod off lead at the beach in the pouring rain.

Because when it's pouring rain Pod's natural instinct is to find somewhere to shelter and sulk.

Sadly on the beach the first place he thought of was UP A FUCKING CLIFF FACE.

He got halfway up, scrambling around above a sheer drop and pointy rocks I was honestly absolutely convinced he was going to die.

I was literally wailing "CHESTERRRRRR!!!!!!!" at the cliff face. Unfortunately the people coming down the steps couldn't actually see him so to them it must have just looked like a madwoman was having a nice early morning public breakdown in the rain.

Anyway he came down eventually then later fell down a sand dune which served him right.

Anyway me and DF are oopcontry for a few days so DP and DPod are alone together. I hope they manage to feed and entertain themselves.

Good grief, Hanging, he keeps you on your toes!

A few days rest will probably do you the world of good 💐

I am on the train hoooooome after a COMPLETELY pointless trip to the office. However they were all delighted to see me in 3D. Was like being a crap celebrity.

I cannot WAIT to see DP and Pod. I always always bring Pod to collect DP when he's been to London and stand on the platform waiting, then I go "Whose that???" And he goes all leapy and wiggley, doing little springy jumps and sneezing. DP says he'll bring Pod to the station tonight although he's always late as I've never had it the other way round before. Really looking forward to it. May film it for Pods gram.

Please film it! I hope that DP and Pod are waiting for you, or at least aren’t too late collecting you.

When I got the to train station hours late Pod and DP were there and Pod had the Podcam on! I'll edit the video tonight.

Pods report while I was away was glowing. DP said "I can't believe what an amazing job you've done with him" which made me very proud.

Pod loathes this weather. We only went for one walk today and when a scwal (sp?) came through he made himself really tiny in a bush.

He's following me around the house and snuggling me every time I sit down.

There's another dog show in two weeks and this time I've helpfully sponsored one of the main prizes so if that doesn't get us a first place in anything nothing bloody will 😂

Good Pod!

The horrible weather (squall!), has led to the Stick Dog deciding that it is absolutely appropriate to piss on the bathroom floor - which is a wet-room so fair play to her for that choice.

It also led to the Low Wheelbase Hound crapping on the kitchen floor AND immediately outside the door on the step right in the way of the door 'ole so the next dog out stood in it.

At this point, the Ancient One is scoring higher on the continence stakes than the 8 year olds and he is more than twice their age and blind.

Bloody hell.

DB is at Dads. He's being taken to hospital, suspected blood clot. Oh no! 😢

No no it's my Dad, my brother phoned and said he's been taken in an ambulance. I'm six hours away

I hope that your dad is okay and the hospital can get rid of his clot quickly. How scary.

Love that Pod is being so affectionate with you, and well done to DP for strapping the PodCam to Pod for your reunion! Great thinking from him.
