Could someone please explain who this dog is in my house and what they've done with Pod? Because he's been absolutely angelic today. Truly a wonderful, wonderful dog and even coped with my DF and DPs pal coming over for Sunday dinner and sitting up getting merry on red wine.

Or perhaps the collective will on MN have given me a SERIOUSLY needed good day. What a star. 🥹

I wonder if the Pods will recognise their breed in each other. Like OMG, we’re all pointy eared, pointy nosed, crazy beasts! Let’s run and wrestle and chase and bite furry things!

It was LOVELY!! They all tear arsed around like mad things. No squabbles. Just chasing chasing chasing. Oh it was GLORIOUS! A whole Pod of Pods.

Loved the Podwalk video. I think I watched it at least 5 times. My DH watched it too. I’ve been recounting Pod stories to him since the start of Pod’s adoption.

@HangingOver Was the smallest Pod a puppy or just a petite Pod? The furry Pod at the start looked adorable. I didn’t realise that they came in a long hair version. Love that there was a yellow terrier(?) interloper amongst them all. How has been afterwards? Well behaved or crazy overstimulated?

@FeralWoman sorry to butt in but podencos/podengos come in small, medium and large sizes, and smooth or wire-haired coats

Thank you! I didn’t realise that they had so much variation. So I’m guessing that Pod is a smooth coat large podenco?

Yes, he’s also a bit darker than normal. Most of the pods I’ve seen are more like the tan and white one in the insta reel

I've so enjoyed catching up on your thread, well done on all the progress. What a lucky boy he is, you've really stuck by him and it's just lovely to see how far he's come with that support.

I'd love your IG name too so I can see the pods in action! It's amazing when your dog finds its perfect play mate. For my girl, it's her brother, who I happened across by chance. They're mongrels (with saluki in for sure) and no other dog plays quite like them, so it's always a joy when they can tear about together.

Yeah he's a funny one... He's the same height as a full size one but the colouring of an orito.

The other big pod in the video he ADORES they played together the whole time.
