Hello PodSquad,

Thank you for being on this crazy ride with us.

Could someone please explain who this dog is in my house and what they've done with Pod? Because he's been absolutely angelic today. Truly a wonderful, wonderful dog and even coped with my DF and DPs pal coming over for Sunday dinner and sitting up getting merry on red wine.

Or perhaps the collective will on MN have given me a SERIOUSLY needed good day. What a star. 🥹

PUPDATE:

Pod had his first ever experience with me off-lead where he couldn't see me. Nearby there's a stud where they have very cleverly enclosed some of their woodland and made beautiful walks for dogs that you can hire by the hour, with ponds and streams and everything. It's absolutely magical.

To say Pod enjoyed it would be the understatement of the year; he was sprinting around like a greyhound in giant circles, crashing through the undergrowth with wild abandon and really, really looked like he wanted to give swimming a go.

He's behaved ATROCIOUSLY ever since (presumably due to being completely overstimulated) but I'd still call it a howling success (quite literally, given the noise he's currently making).

The most important thing from my perspective is that he came back. As in, he'd crash off for a bit but then zoom past me to check in, or if I yelled for him, he'd suddenly emerge in front of me on the bath like a mad tiny horse, covered in mud and bits of twig.

Also the HUGE news is that one of the Podsquad (who I love very, very much) sent Pod some toys in the post! They're ABSOLUTELY wonderful and he's incredibly happy. And it made my heart full 💗).

Pod had a brilliant morning. We met up with 'Princess' who is unbelievably fancy and gorgeous. She's a shepherdy-husky-type thing and she's the same age as him. She has more acceleration than him but she absolutely could not catch him. Video on the gram. He's fast asleep now. 😄

Pointy pig dog is back in full teenage swing today. Apropos de nothing, he's lunging at cars, nipping, borking his silly head off and ripping everything in sight.

Can I just plug the DTAS premium facebook group? It's £50 to join for three months which is about the same as a 1-2-1 training session round here and they just answer all your questions about your dog, really quickly too! It's brilliant.
