Could someone please explain who this dog is in my house and what they've done with Pod? Because he's been absolutely angelic today. Truly a wonderful, wonderful dog and even coped with my DF and DPs pal coming over for Sunday dinner and sitting up getting merry on red wine.

Or perhaps the collective will on MN have given me a SERIOUSLY needed good day. What a star. 🥹

At this stage I think Pod ought to request from all your friends, family, acquaintences, colleagues, Father Christmas, and maybe also just random passersby, 😆 Christmas presents of everyone's old pillows throughout 2025.

Luckily I have this fantastic upholstery darning thread that would hold a submarine together so now I've mended it it's sturdier than originally 😁

Pod will have a palatial night's sleep tonight on his snuggled beddy.

Ok.. by popular demand... The Ancient (and farty) One, the Stick Dog and the The Low Wheelbase Hound all posed for this thread vaguely willingly (ok the The Ancient One was still partly asleep and baffled).

The Low Wheelbase Hound would like all to understand that he had (minor!) surgery this week and is not at his best... he is normally significantly more dishevelled and roguish than this but he had to have all his best pongs washed off!

They all send their best loves, wags and stinky farts to Podface.

There is a stick dog similar to yours who lives nearby but they don't like being approached when having walkies so we just have to gasp from a distance.

That's quite an interesting variety of types Widdlin, all very lovely of course!

Time to get the upholstery thread out again. At this rate that bed will end up the equivalent of Trigger's broom ☺️

Basically, I shouldn't have bought one with the stupid trim on it (the brown bit) because he pull it with his teefs and it just rips out in a slow satisfying line. So I figure once he's ripped the whole lots off and I've mended it all then he'll give up haha

Stick Dog would have found that wee trim far too tempting as well, its just there... calling 'tug at meeeeeee'.

(She is not so elegant as she looks, she's all fur coat and no knickers that one. LWBH is a Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen, basically a hairy french basset hound).

We are in the living room!! On the Sofa of Loveliness. Pod is asleep and NOT eating it! Just me and DP and Pod watching telly like a proper interspecies family 🥹
