What mix is my dog ( photo included)

Adopted our puppy 10 months ago. Apparently mother was a springer but no one knows what the father was. She's great so this is just for fun .

Her face is all lab so I'd guess dad was a Labrador or a mix which was predominantly lab.

Could be pointer in there too.

I think pointer too. In my experience solid colours of a lab often dominate in a mix with perhaps a few flashes, whereas solid colour head seems very pointer-y

Wrong shape for a lab. Definitely pointer with that last photo. Amazing dogs but quite full on as youngsters. You’ve got good fun there in a nice package 👍

You can get your dog officially dna'd if you really wanted to know! Not sure about the UK but I read up and it was 150 euro per dog so I thought against it. Very cute doggie though :)

Aww. Thanks for the love for her. She's great! Interesting a lot of people think pointer...we've always thought that.
I'd love to do the DNA testing. Anyone know anything about it? It it reasonably reliable? How is it done?

Lab / pointer

As I understand it, the DNA tests are totally unreliable if there are more than two breeds in the mix (and often if there are only two). I can't remember where eI read it because it was a while back, but there was an article about it somewhere where the same dog's DNA was sent to several labs and they all came back with different things.

If you are prepared to accept it for entertainment purposes, go ahead, but I'd personally be reluctant to shell out that sort of cash for the canine equivalent of an astrology chart or Tarot reading (BTW- I've known some sot-on Tarot readings . . . )

There are lots of pointer lab crosses used as working dogs so I would say pointer lab springer mix.
