My mini poodle attacked by Bull Mastiff

I'm sitting in my home waiting to hear from the vet how my little mini poodle is😢

Walking in our local woods this morning, as we do every morning, she's pootling about sniffing etc when this bloody great dog came charging out from a side path...off lead...no owner...and just full on attacked her.

She's screaming, the big dog is biting her...suddenly 2 more big dogs😱 also charging towards us followed by man.

The man jumps on the dog and managed to drag it off...my little girl is bloody and crying, lying there...the other dogs are circling. I was feckin terrified. This has all happened so fast.

Now waiting. Just need to tell someone as she is my only family now.😭

So pleased she is doing so well. We'll keep our fingers and paws crossed here that she does come home tomorrow.

Have you heard anything since from the other dog's owner?

Just to say dogs are so resilient, your little one will bounce back from this like you wouldn't believe. Not trying to take away from the seriousness the situation (awful) but when ever I worry about my dog my father always reminds me of their healing power.

The bloke seems really decent & nice. He needs to understand though, that not walking that one is NOT enough of a solution. It's not good enough in regard to keeping other dogs/kids etc safe from his other dogs & it's not fair in the one he intends not to walk. I would talk to him & see what other plans he has made.
