Dressing dogs up

Always hated dressing up dogs, ridiculous.
Understand it for very young, very old, or unwell. Or the thin coated like whippets/greyhounds, when very cold.
Every day adult dogs, just no. If you really want to spend more money on your dog, why dont you donate to rescue, for dogs in need.

Well mine is a crossbreed and has a very odd, totally non waterproof coat of fluff so wears an equafleece. It’s that or o walk on any rainy days and Iknow which I think is crueller.

As for the sarcasm about calling the RSPCA, would never do that, they don't respond to genuine dogs in need, let alone, uncomfortable dressed in tat ones.
Is it really that hard to understand my opening post?

People dress babies up in dresses and cute outfits, which they clearly don't need. How is dressing dogs in cute outfits any different? People who dress up their dogs are really unlikely to be people who mistreat their dogs. There can be way worse fates for a dog than having to wear a few jumpers.

Don't know what breed of dog you have, but it's a shame, you don't think it's own coat is good enough, that you have to dress it up in tat.
I have two cross breeds, they enjoyed their day, being comfortable and free.

StormyDog wears a coat if it's pissing down with rain she's a bit of a wimp and doesn't like getting wet. Also it means the coat gets muddy not her. She also wears coats when it's cold and she's just been clipped.

My cocker brought me his Santa outfit to indicate he wanted a walk yesterday. It Velcros easily, stops his main body getting muddy (so much easier to wash that than bath the dog!), and makes many people smile as we walk by. If he hated it I’d never force it. He loved it so much I’ve just ordered a ruff and tumble towel thingy for the winter as we go for walks in muddy fields all weather and he won’t have to wait so long to dry off and come in the living room. But then I’m not too fussed what other people think. Like children, owners know their dogs and just because we parent differently doesn’t mean either of us are wrong.

My wet dog… he’s really not loving being “free” in the rain. He gets in the car shivering.

I don’t dress my dogs up other than putting a coat on them when it’s cold and rainy.
