Always hated dressing up dogs, ridiculous.
Understand it for very young, very old, or unwell. Or the thin coated like whippets/greyhounds, when very cold.
Every day adult dogs, just no. If you really want to spend more money on your dog, why dont you donate to rescue, for dogs in need.

I don't agree with dressing animals up except in the following circumstances:

Genuine need - they're cold or to protect from rain and snow (usually only applies to those with thin coats), or to protect a wound.

if animal tolerates it, then a quick photo with a Christmas hat or bow on their head

Sensory calming technique- thundershirts

I really dislike people dressing their pets up in outfits for no-one's gratification but their own, and think it's demeaning to the animal.

I seem to have wandered into the middle of something...

Can't you just both draw a line under it? A little bit of Christmas spirit maybe?

Our dog is bald.
He requires jumpers, coats and boots in winter.

We've removed a few posts that are just continuing a spat on the thread. Hopefully things will get back on track now. Please do report any further upsets and we'll be back to take another look.
All the best,
