Back to school for my lot tomorrow. Taken pup for an evening walk tonight, desperately trying to tire him out! He's struggled to nap today as felt too hot.

Can anyone recommend a bed their dog likes? I don't want to waste more money on another bed she won't use lol....

@Aria20 no I can’t… Billy favours a blanket on the floor 😂

We got a bedsure one from Amazon, I have nothing to compare it to really, but chose one with edges as she always seemed to be wanting to prop her head on something. It's holding up fine so far and she seems to still choose it over other options

@tizwozliz that looks nice, was it expensive? Mine currently lays on the floor next to her bed but rests her head on the edge of the bed so maybe she'd like that one?! The only time she voluntarily gets in her current bed is to avoid me if she sees me coming to clean her ears lol

It wasn't super expensive but not super cheap either - think I paid £35.

Since we have so many gundog owners here, is there anyone in Lancashire who’s going to the Lancashire Game and Country Festival tomorrow? We’re so excited, Billy is all washed and brushed ready to go 🥰.

She has a large, and I think judging by my friends labs she'll still use when fully grown

Wolfpup has lost a handful of teeth today and has a very sore gum. He's clearly pretty miserable and feeling sorry for himself

@Wolfcub how old is wolf pup? No idea how far off losing teeth we are.

FawkesPup has been a PITA for DH today but that's cos he's ignored him. Hey ho. He's been a star for me 🤣🤣😅

However....so tired. Only week one of term and I'm shattered!!

Big Mac nearly five months. We've been losing them for a while but today we've lost a molar, two incisors and one of those ones that look like a shark at least

I get ours from the vet and lungworm is included as he is partial to a bit of slug or snail 🤮

I'm thinking of trying to move opalpup downstairs tonight
She's been sleeping in a crate upstairs since night one. Four weeks in our bedroom, and a week on the landing. Might just try her in her downstairs crate at bedtime! She's shattered right now, as we went to puppy class 8-9pm.

I'll keep you all posted...

We have 4 beds and they are all different. They do get used but so does the carpet

What is it with men not giving them much attention then moaning they are nipping and barking?

This is Nova- our KC sbt pup. Picking her up on the 21st september- so excited 🙂. Ive lurked on dog chat for ages and been itching to join in- only 11 days to go!

Can I join too? Our pup is an 9.5 week Golden Retriever bitch called Anouk. She came home nearly two weeks ago now and is lovely and brilliant but god I am tired. Tonight she has her heartbeat pup thing and I've worked so hard to wear her out. Fingers xed. I've been doing gradual withdrawal resulting in my sleeping at the bottom of the stairs last night. Tonight a treat... 20cm further into the lounge room :)

Thanks everyone, I’ll give a couple of vets a call and see we hat they offer. He got worming, flee and tick treatment, and a health check in the package with his jabs and I still have one worming dose left of the advocate so I’ve got a bit of time to check out the deals on offer.

@MakeMeCleanTheHouse I don’t think 567pup would be very good in the train either. He hates the car so far and would probably wee everywhere on a train! 😆

@LadyCatStark were in the midlands unfortunately, but that festival sounds really good! The place I’m taking our puppy to for training does gundog training and also agility. Am very tempted, but will have to see how he gets on in puppy classes first!

@opalescent hope the night goes ok with the crate downstairs. 🤞

@Wolfcub do you just find the teeth after they’ve fallen out, or do they swallow them? My dad used to find tiny kitten teeth on his floor when his cats were tiny!

I love the look of @tizwozliz bed and will order. Ours also has a donut furry bed that he occasionally sleeps, bites and humps

@opalescent hope it went well! Our transition to downstairs 5 weeks ago went really smoothly, until now…
Right now I’m struggling with Morningpup as at 17 weeks he has decided he doesn’t want to be in the crate downstairs he has been for the past 5 weeks. He shows it by his big boy lab bark and whines. Please tell me this is a phase. Knackered.

Ladycatstark wish we were nearby! Guyfawkes morning hasn’t seen his reflection yet but I am sure he’s disapprove. 567and need to find me a vet plan too, it’s getting pricey.
