We're thinking of getting another mixed breed dog. We already have a Chorkie and like the look of labradoodles or cockapoos. What's everyone got?

thatsmyspace · 07/02/2019 11:50

Here's our mystery rescue mutt! Tail blurry as she is wagging so hard. We're guessing GSD x Lab but who knows. She's our gorgeous girl anyway.

@Xiaoxiong what a grin!

Babygrey7 · 07/02/2019 15:40

We have a Grippet

Greyhound Whippet with a bit of random other dog, also called "lurcher", but am trying to come up with a cutesy name (and failing Grin)

Grippets are the most soft-natured loving dogs by the way Smile

Discombobulated9 · 07/02/2019 15:57

My fur baby's a Patterdale terrier + Cocker spaniel cross
A hell of a combination but I wouldn't be without him

Wolfiefan · 07/02/2019 15:59

Dont. Just don’t. Why buy a cross breed from a BYB or puppy farmer? No health tests and no guarantee what they will look like.
Oh and you don’t have a chorkie. There is no such thing FFS
Plenty of cross breeds in rescue if you want to avoid pedigree.

PristineCondition · 07/02/2019 16:01

You can only get rescue greyhounds according to mn

aimee81 · 07/02/2019 16:03

A genital giant????? My mind is boggling!

MotorcycleMayhem · 07/02/2019 16:08

This is a Cornish Hound. We had her DNA tested, and she's husky, border collie, greyhound and malamute.

Almost as fast as a greyhound, knackered in 20mins of sprinting and sheds like a mofo.

Genital giant Smile. This might have to go straight to Mumsnet classics !

I have GSD/rotweiller mutt mix. Looks tough but proper softy.

tabulahrasa · 07/02/2019 16:11

“A genital giant????? My mind is boggling!”

Well in fairness, they’d not be small as the dog will be pretty big... Grin

thatsmyspace · 07/02/2019 16:12

MadisonAvenue · 07/02/2019 16:14

I have a Cavachon Cavalier/Bichon looks very much like a Cavapoo. If you do get one there are reputable breeders of these crosses now who will health test parents and breed responsibly. Please don’t do to a back yard breeder/puppy farm.

Wolfiefan · 07/02/2019 16:17

I have never heard of a reputable breeder of
cavachons or any of these non breeds.

weegiemum · 07/02/2019 16:19

Well this is my poodle x lab, and he's lovely. He's my big doodley boy and we love him.

MotorcycleMayhem · 07/02/2019 16:20

I should explain - we call her a Cornish Hound because every day we get asked what she is, so we made up a name.

Tara336 · 07/02/2019 16:22

@Wolfiefan sorry not playing, try someone else they may bite
