New Border Collie Puppy - Much excitement and need name!

Finally, after a long long wait, we are getting a dog and I am beyond excitement.

It is a little Border Collie boy and I am totally in love. We get him in January.

But I need a name. We met his Mum and Dad (and Granny) and all were gorgeous - Dad is big and fluffy and really laid back. So I'm imagining our wee boy is going to turn into quite a big thing.

Here are the maybe names so far (please don't laugh)

Magnus
Moss
Bo
Wookie
Pixel

Any other suggestions welcomed.

(As this is a very outing list - I have been running some ideas by my friends/colleagues - I have name changed)

Gus is good but I know someone called Gus.

I had considered badger (and Brock) but it didn’t get enough thumbs up.

Magnus not out of running yet.....

Monty and Reggie good but latter makes me think of Krays.

I'm a traditionalist and prefer one-syllable names, as given to working dogs. Unfortunately I've mostly known collie bitches so don't know many dog names.

What about Bramble or Bracken?
Feel like collies should have rural sounding names.

We have considered Bracken and Bramble (bramble great but was name of (lovely) belonging to really really horrible ex-H of a good friend)

What about Breac which means spotted in Gaelic. His Dad has “naughty spots” on his face so there’s a good chance he’ll have them too!

Hector is good but if you’ve watched Breaking Bad then you’ll know Hector is not a good person :-)

This is my Finn, as a puppy and now 5 years old. I’ve had a Jess and my sister has Moss.

Oh Finn is beautiful! they are just such special dogs.

I just don’t know what to call him!

I love Roo! He looks like a Roo

I like Jet, Magnus or Kit. They’re such clever dogs with an innate sense of dignity that, stupidly, I wouldn’t want to give them a jokey name iyswim.
My springer/lab cross on the other hand, frequently answers to ‘idiot dog’.😆
