We used to have a hamster called Janet.

Doug the pug.

Ice cream, because it loved ice cream & always came when called!

Sevenoaks.

All our pets have had place-names

We had a hamster called Kevin and a Rabbit called Dr Who......

Years ago our milkman had a springer called feet

Sometimes I think my rotty must assume her name to be Shift as that's all I say atm when she is under feet!!

Seamus. Seamus the dog. We’re Pink Floyd fans but didn’t actually name him after this,he had the name already when we got him. It does remind us of him though.....

Had a friend years ago that had a dog called Vyvyan Bastard.....after this fellow.....

Also got a friend with two Labradors, Elsa and Anna, named years before the film......

Milo, our jack russell

....and finally, again years before the trend, a friend with two dogs called Pete and Dave. When they were moving home (late eighties), her DH drove the dogs down in the car. When she arrived along with the removal men, she asked him, ‘where are Pete and Dave, are they ok?’. ‘Yes,’ says he ‘upstairs curled up in our bedroom having a snuggle and a rest’. Cue sideways glances from removal men.

I had a dog called Sprocket. If I had as a farmer, I'd consider naming a dog Bingo.

My neighbours dog is called Steve and i've heard of a Chip and Pin . My dog is called Alfie , the name he came with .

My dog is called Ivor, which I love but I didn't name him.

He has a friend called Bomber (as in fast runner, not a terrorist!). I love this too.

I also know a dog called Ian who is like a little old man and he's gorgeous.
