What a beautiful dog!

Not a stealth boast, honest, but I have a very beautiful dog and people regularly compliment her. I usually say something like 'Aww, thanks', resulting in an awkward silence and a slightly face from them. I mean, I know I didn't make her, I'm just acknowledging the compliment! How do you respond?

The reason that this thread is so lovely and heartwarming is that ALL these dogs are totally gorgeous and that’s because they’re ours.
There are truly beautiful dogs on here! We’re all very lucky!
(Ps echo what was said upthread about never meeting a dog who wasn’t lovely... )

My (not so) little fluff head ❤️ - she gets attention wherever she goes and now expects it - people ask to have their picture taken with her and all sorts!

IME sighthounds - greyhounds, whippets, salukis etc. always invoke admiration, probably because they are so sleek and elegant, and trot gracefully along beside their owner, like a racehorse. You can spot a sighthound from way off, just by their gait.

I also never know how to respond to this either so end up thanking them then explaining that I didn't make her...

Ooh @iamme21 a foxy. I grew up with Fox terriers and would love one but suspect I’m not brave enough! My childhood boy foxy was the best dog in the world, naughty but such a softy and so very funny. Lovely to see a pic of one.

@ilovecrumpets haha yes you do need to be brave! She’s 11 now and just about starting to calm down. We love her to bits tho
