What a beautiful dog!

Not a stealth boast, honest, but I have a very beautiful dog and people regularly compliment her. I usually say something like 'Aww, thanks', resulting in an awkward silence and a slightly face from them. I mean, I know I didn't make her, I'm just acknowledging the compliment! How do you respond?

You can all stop right now. My DDog's obviously the beautifulest!

I get stopped all the time about my dogs. People have been known to actually pull over and get out of their cars. This obviously means I have the most beautiful dogs . Sometimes I have now idea how to respond.

Hmm some of these pups are very regal looking. Mine is a scruff, but here's her regal face! All of these would get a grin and an 'awww' from me. I like pestdog's curly tail, I wonder where he got that? Mine might have some basenji, but no tail curls!

wolf is that an Irish terrier? I'd probably comment in the street, your dog is lovely! We met one a while back and had a prolonged chat with the owner

@Tropic no idea where the curly tail comes from - both JRTs and dachshunds have much curlier tails, unless there's a bit of something in there I don't know about!

He always held his tail straighter when walking but curled right over his back usually. Gone now, hopefully forever trotting through bluebell heaven with his eyesight restored.😢

It's funny you should say that - someone has suggested it before and we ran into two Lancashire Heelers in the park recently - I couldn't get a very good pic but this is him in the front and his tail is even curlier than theirs!

Tropic yes she is! We end up in a lot of lengthy chats in the street, I quite like it really just didn’t anticipate it when I got her. Here is a pick of my other scruffball, also IT but quite different.

Waahhh! I really really want a dog but wouldn't be able to look after one properly due to work and finances. I am more dog broody than I ever was for babies.

Should not look at threads titled 'beautiful dog's, what on earth was I expecting but to be made more dog broody.
