PerfectlyChaotic what food are you feeding? I struggled for months feeding good quality kibble and despite what I did he turned his nose up. I then swopped to the same wet food from the same manufacturer and he gobbled it down but then after a few weeks got bored. I now buy 4 different flavours of wet and alternate them with a few nuggets of kibble and we have never looked back. He does a twirl and runs round like an idiot at food time which he never did before. So for my dog it was that he preferred wet as its smells and tastes better and likes a variety of flavours. I use millieswolfheart wet food so we aren't compromising quality but clearly it's right for him. His stomach issues and poo also got better when we moved to wet.

This is my baby. She's 16 weeks old.

My 15 year old Chihuahua died in December. We couldn't cope with no doggy love in our house. While I still miss my old girl very much my pup is a shining light. We love her so much!

Just torturing myself here. Missing my pup so much but skiing is not dog friendly. Would it be unreasonable of me to skype him tonight? He’s with friends, I couldn’t have kennelled him so young.

GooodMythicalMorning · 23/01/2018 16:33

Not unreasonable. I'd do it.

Wow Pulling, that’s a lot of dogs!!

pullingmyhairout1 · 23/01/2018 20:29

I know. I think I might be a little mad 😂

KinkyDoritowithsparkleson · 23/01/2018 21:41

First walkies!!! Finally. It's been a slog, but we got there. He was totally shattered afterwards Grin.

GooodMythicalMorning · 23/01/2018 23:13

Aww bless. Mine is nearly 9 months and still gets tired after walks. He is a bulldog though. He may be a pain sometimes but I wouldn't be without him.

Gosh its all I can do to cope with one hyperactive staffie 6 month old! Let her off on beach at sunrise this morning ( kept a 20 foot training lead attached) she went ballistic! Digging and run, run, run. Not at all interested in ball just on run, run, run, dig, dig, dig! After a moment of panic caught the wet lead and breathed a sigh if relief. Came home and she flacked out for 2 whole hours! Bliss!

Sostenueto · 24/01/2018 06:33

I feed my pup wainwrights wet for sensitive stomach, as she really does have sensitive tummy and she has refused to eat kibble in any shape or form. She costs me a fortune! Food is £8 for 6 tins and she eats almost 2 tins a day! She's also the only dog I know who won't eat dog treats! I managed to get her to eat a bonio biscuit the other day but had to dip it in tea first!

TropicPlunder · 24/01/2018 07:15

Hahaha biscuits dipped in tea...that's living! Mine will only eat kibble when it has meat/egg/sprats mixed in. She's more partial to something from the kitchen Smile . Where we are, there's only one or two types of commercial dog food and theyre not great quality, so resigned myself to cooking for her for now.
She's a sweetie Hands up, is she on a boat?!

pullingmyhairout1 · 24/01/2018 07:20

Anyone in Hampshire know where I can take mine off lead? I'm near West End, but happy to go to the New Forest, etc

ZivaDiva · 24/01/2018 07:25

Zivapup would sell his soul and everything else for any food. I have never had a dog who is such a tummy on legs! Lab/springer cross though so I shouldn't be surprised.
Bigpup, on the other hand, is the polar opposite, not food orientated in the slightest. His most successful food is Natural Instincts working dogs raw complete and Zivapup is now on working puppies raw complete although I think I could feed him cardboard and he'd get excited.
Bigpup is eating much more readily now he has some competition though. Grin

BiteyShark · 24/01/2018 07:47

pullingmyhairout1 bolderwood and rhinefield ornamental drives have some big woody areas with walking trails through them in the new forest.

There are more open areas (less woody) near stoney cross way.

Basically anywhere off the A31 towards Ringwood has loads of open and woody land to take your dog off lead.

pullingmyhairout1 · 24/01/2018 07:58

Thanks Bitey are you that way?

BiteyShark · 24/01/2018 08:01

Not too far away but have taken dog out walking around there and I have cycled some of those places (when I was a bit fitter than I am now Smile).

GooodMythicalMorning · 24/01/2018 08:14

Upton country park is excellent. Doesnt sound like you are too far from me.

Sostenueto · 24/01/2018 09:25

Please do be careful in wooded areas. There has been a lot of dog fatalities due to some virus caught in wooded areas. I used to take my pup to a wooded area but she started to get sick and ended up on drip. Vet said definitely keep away from wooded areas!

BiteyShark · 24/01/2018 09:46

What was the virus?

We are vaccinated with l4. Alabama rot which presents as legions on the skin is thought to be from muddy wooded places but hasn't actually been confirmed as that being the definite cause from what I have read.

Unfortunately when you live in a wooded part of the country we can't really avoid it if we want to go off lead so I don't tend to worry about those small risks but can appreciate that others might.

Wolfiefan · 24/01/2018 09:48

Seasonal canine illness?

Sostenueto · 24/01/2018 09:54

Both Alabama and seasonal
