My dog has been run over

He's gone to the vets for X-rays

He ran out on to the lane by our house and a pick up with a trailer hit him

I am devestated. The dc are quiet and asking when he is coming home

Vet just rang to say it's his back end and they will know more once he he had tests done.

Hand hold please while we wait....

We are on our way now. Picked him up at 8.30 he's wrapped in a blanket and cosied into two duvets
His paws are cut and he has a bandage on one leg for the cannula maybe?
He's dozy from the meds but he opens his eyes and lifts his head when I stroke him.

The vet was lovely she gave me a hug and told me I was doing well.
Slow journey tho hopefully we will be there about 12.15
Forgot the tissues tho...

Oh, just a thought... you might well have it arranged, but just in case.

You'll probably need help getting him in there comfortably... if you nip in without him or phone when you get there, they'll come out.

Thinking of you and Ted. My boy had surgery at 7 months on both elbows as his cartilage was disintegrating. A long road to recovery but hydrotherapy was amazing in his recovery. In fact we’ve just been to the vet today and the vet said he looked amazing for his age (he’s a geriatric 8 now). But I remember the worry of surgery so I will be thinking of you x

We are due in for orthopedic surgery on Monday in Stirling for our labs knee. We’ve had a long 6 week wait with restricted exercise to prepare, think I’d fall apart in an emergency, hope you and Ted are doing ok.
