I was rude apparently.
Hmm. Didn't put "you fucking asshat. You can't leave a pup for 6 hours or an adult dog for 9. Don't be a cunt."
Now THAT would be rude.
Well wolfie girl fucking stinks. Either it's because she had a slightly upset tum after a long day yesterday or we will be at the vet for the dreaded anal gland thing. Not what I need at the mo TBH. Sad

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 18:47

Oh dear Wolf [boak at anal glands]. Yes to vets rather than doing them yourself Grin

DDog keeps catching his poorly nail on stones in our gravel drive so still limping a bit but it hasn't stopped him running about like a loon after his two day enforced rest.

Wolfiefan · 03/06/2017 18:53

Can he wear a sock? I have seen greyhounds wearing actual special shoe type things.
Pup smells a bit on and off. Hoping it will pass. Hoping it's just because of the BIG show yesterday. Will see. I'm not restraining enormous girl whilst doing that!

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 18:57

Ha he likes eating my socks so not sure how one of his own would fare Grin

Without tmi is the smell coming from her bottom? Or could she have sneakily rolled in something when you weren't looking ( I have looked down at mine when I thought he had just stopped to sniff something to see him trying to roll his neck and head in god knows what)

Wolfiefan · 03/06/2017 19:29

I have sniffed puppy all over! Shock
It's a definite smell of fish. Can't say her bum reeks of it. She does do this occasionally. I notice she stinks and then she seems fine I always assumed it was something she had eaten or bloody awful breath! She isn't uncomfortable and let me lift her tail to see if there was anything obvious. I'm not rushing her to the vets immediately.
Honestly I've got enough on. Death in the family, teen son reacted by pulling shower off the wall, husband flown over for funeral etc etc etc.
outed myself here.
at the moment the fact I'm not a gin sodden weeping mess is a bonus. Most other stuff can wait. Sad

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 19:35

Wolf that sounds rough Flowers and Gin

Wolfiefan · 03/06/2017 19:39

I'm sitting in the garden with giant girl. In my PJs. Classy! Trying not to Wine orGin Blush

Wolfiefan · 03/06/2017 19:39

She stinks less out here! Grin

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 19:47

They should do body sprays for dogs Grin (although I suspect if I googled I would find some).

The upside of having to wash DDog in the shower every day to help his scabby insect bites is that at least he doesn't smell as 'fragrant' at the moment.

Soubriquet · 03/06/2017 19:49

They do!!

Doggy perfumes and aftershaves and body sprays

They do. I've got a lavender one I occasionally give mine a quick spritz of just before bed Blush

In my defence it came with a lavender shampoo I really wanted to try so thought I might as well use it!!

BiteyShark · 03/06/2017 19:52

Ha ha, I could just see DDog finding the worst fox poo he could just to get back at me if I used anything like that on him Grin

Soubriquet · 03/06/2017 19:57

I remember my Evee went to the groomers and she had a good groom and trim. But then the groomer also painted her nails bright pink with Daisy stickers on it and a dog perfume spritzed on top.

Wolfie girl just woofed. She's defending me!!!! No idea from what! Grin
She's never woofed in the house.
Another first. She had us BOTH off our feet tonight playing in the garden. Someone should tell her it's her I need protecting from! Grin
And lovely idea but I'm not bathing this!

Bluepuppy going for a walk on the beach in his smart new coat Smile

BiteyShark · 04/06/2017 09:12

Cute coat blue

Wolf oh dear did she do that running into your legs from behind very fast? Mine likes to woof at bags, fans and flapping curtains. I love going up to them and shaking them to show him how 'scary' they are Grin

SkeletonSkins · 04/06/2017 09:14

Awwwwww gorgeous pic bluepuppy!

Wolfie this is way tmi but if she's had a sore tum and runny bum for a couple of days she might not have been able to empty her anal glands. A solid poo will empty them and resolve your problem

bluetongue · 04/06/2017 09:26

He tried to get all the other coats he tried off. Of course this was one of the most expensive ones he tried on Grin

Took Bluepuppy to see my parents today and my dad asked to take him for a walk. My dad is not a dog person but seems to have fallen for my pointy pup Grin

Soubriquet · 04/06/2017 09:56

Note to self

Dog walk + buggy + child on bike + single adult = disaster.

Never doing that again.... child will walk next time. I'm knackered. A half an hour dog walk took an hour because I had to keep stopping to help child or taking the buggy across the road and coming back for child. Nightmare.

When she gets back from work later I think I'll walk the dog again to relax

She stinks less today!
No she didn't run into my legs. I was standing by the house outside. She ran and jumped up at me. BIG mistake. I fell into the wisteria on the house and scraped myself up and she managed to slip and fall on the patio. No apparent injuries to her and she was VERY sorry. Apparently you're not a proper wolfie owner until they've had you off your feet! Grin

bluetongue · 04/06/2017 10:47

Well as long as she's okay Wolfie Grin

Sounds like there's never a dull moment a your place.

BiteyShark · 04/06/2017 10:50

Well thankfully the wisteria was there to catch you Wink.

Wolfiefan · 04/06/2017 11:03

No never a dull moment. Thankfully I'm not a small person and my hobby is body combat so I have strength on my side.
About to go to a fun dog show. Turns out it's an event with rides and a bouncy castle. Here's hoping brave hound doesn't freak!

Look at that face Wolfie. I don't believe she would knock you over Smile

Her colour is really interesting. Always thought of wolfhounds as just being grey but she has a patch of creamy colour that also sort of looks brindle.

The inevitable 'wow your pup / dog is really skinny' comments have started. Also loads of comments asking if he's a greyhound puppy or an adult Italian greyhound. He's 8 kilos at 14.5 weeks which I think is fine. Think he's just had a growth spurt too which does make it hard to keep the weight on.

BiteyShark · 04/06/2017 11:27

blue I am always battling with DDogs weight being on the skinny side. If yours has just had a growth spurt he will be a bit skinny until it settles. I would just say something like better for his bones to be a bit too skinny than overweight if the comments bother you.
